Yeah for real, it's crazy to think about what's been learned since I woke up this morning.

Yahoo and others still have plenty reading left to do. I'd imagine someone is up late writing another story as we speak. They're probably stretching it out, too. The more publication, the better. It's a gold mine for them.

I'm just going to put this out there, and I don't know how relevant it actually is to this discussion, but given the cost of college these days and how many kids are graduating with debt, I find the entire concept of an athletic scholarship incredibly stupid.

And yet we have "student athletes" not only getting full rides, but this extra crap on the side too? I realize they're adults and deserve to get paid what they're worth, but how about taking a step back and reexamining the role of sports at a university in general?

To be fair I don’t think anyone thought he was 100% clean. But pretty clean in the current standards. His secondary for Gary Harris gave that away.

I find it awesome that we grade this crap on a curve. Cheating is cheating. Calipari, Roy Williams and Pitino have been accused, but until earlier this year, all have managed to slip away clean. Pitino finally got fired, and that, deservedly... the others need to go... and then the "lesser cheaters" need to get theirs.

I still think duke will skate unless coach k is on tape. Now I could just see iu get nailed for something involving Bryant. Hope I'm wrong.

Coach K is too smart for that. The communication in these dealings need to have more layers than an onion. That's how you stay protected unless there is a whistleblower in your crew.

He was crucified for it, but Lance Armstrong only started doping when it was apparent that all the other podium riders were and he couldn't compete otherwise. Doesn't make it right, but I think a lot of otherwise good guys cheat because they can't be competitive if they don't play the same game. That doesn't excuse what's going on but it does explain it to some degree. Put yourself in these coaches position and with your job on the line, what would you do.

Do I think Roy is on the same level of Self, Calipari, or K? No. Bridges got $400 on the one page vs. $73k for Smith. No they aren’t equal to me.

Yep all communication if it were me would go coach to company/booster to intermediary to intermediary to the kid or family.

And I remember people saying Bowen is a good kid. He's not at fault.

I would never of paid a dime for Bryant. He was vastly overrated

I’m gonna go ahead and get my annual mod warning...

Bailey, you’re an idiot.

I hope this isn't the end of college basketball...

Agree. I want to see Cal, UNC, Kansas, Duke, Syracuse, etc. go down, and I want things cleaned up, but I also don’t won’t college basketball turned into something I don’t recognize anymore.

I can't imagine a world in which I don't look forward to March Madness

The college basketball you recognize is a sham. It could be something better, but there will be growing pains from a reset.

Yes and no. Aspects of it are a sham, and I want those aspects cleaned up. But, this could also get to a point where we don’t even recongnize the sport. The Power 5’s could leave the NCAA entirely. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not defending the NCAA, but where this could lead to changes that are widespread and drastic.

Some change is absolutely necessary, but just not sure how far it will go.
