Gotta love it. Lol does that mean Wilkes will be there next year. What happened to the one and done he was promised. IUsafety 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 FWIW, Alford can waste as much of his time as he wants because I don't see TJD leaving the B1G. He seems really close to his family and IMO he wants them to be able to see as many of his games in person as they possibly can. IUsafety, Iugradman and thebigweave 3 Quote

Stuhoo Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 Alford gets to justify the use of the UCLA recruiting budget to finance a trip home to see his family/parents. Corporate executives and politicians with less than optimum integrity do it all the time. IUsafety and Class of '66 Old Fart 2 Quote
johnsoniu Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 Would be great if Alford flew Wilkes in and Wilkes told TJD to stay as far away from UCLA as possible. HoosierAloha and mdn82 2 Quote

I have a very high degree of confidence that Alford doesn't make it past this year as head coach. They lost a lot from last year's team, and the recruits he gets don't match the results on the court. That won't fly at UCLA for much longer. I know you can make the argument he would go there whether or not Alford is there, but I have a tough time believing TJD would commit to a coach who he has practically no relationship with. If Alford doesn't have success this year they probably have him on a super short list. They lost two starters from last years team but return everyone else and have a top 10 recruiting class coming in. He will probably get a pass this year but i don't know for how much longer Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 Generic recruiting update on TJD from the Indy Star but one item in particular: “I don’t know if I could do the whole ‘Rome’ thing,” Jackson-Davis said this week, referring to the length of New Albany star Romeo Langford’s recruitment before committing to Indiana in the spring. “I don’t know how he did that. That’s like seven more months. I don’t know if I could do that.” Later in the article, he does say that his commitment might not necessarily come during the November signing period but certainly not lasting into April. He also again stresses that he's not an IU lean despite the rumors that abound. https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/high-school/2018/09/19/trayce-jackson-davis-could-make-college-decision-soon/1350924002/ BGVille Hoosierfan and MemphisHoosier 2 Quote
BGVille Hoosierfan Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 Didn't he originally say he was going to wait until after the season and now he's making it sound like he's going to announce a lot sooner than that. Sounds like he already knows and just wants it to be over with. Which is good to hear. I think we may get a commit after his final visit to MSU in mid to end of October.
