Dalton26 Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Not too familiar with Marshall. What is it about him that is better than our previous guys. Quote
Yogi's Picnic Basket Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Read an article from Geno Atkins last night on Marshall. Said that Clif was the most detailed guy he ever worked with in his area. Whether it is football or basketball, S/C is similar. Which is why Jackson left us for KU football.Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app Milldawg12 and 8bucks 2 Quote

Popular Post Indy Posted April 9, 2017 Popular Post Posted April 9, 2017 Simply. Awesome. Honestly cannot remember the last time I was this optimistic about the immediate future of IU Basketball. It's probably been since 1992-93. Well done, CAM! VO5, KYHoosier, Hoosierfan2017 and 5 others 8 Quote

Popular Post Hoosierfan2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Popular Post Posted April 9, 2017 A month ago we had everyone and their brother talking about how crazy IU fans are and how we need to stop being unrealistic and accept what we had. Fast forward to today and the rest of college basketball just realized that a dormant beast has been awoken. rcbowla, IUsafety, theriverpilot and 8 others 11 Quote

His top clients include NFL pro bowlers, all pros, and super bowl champions. He's been training AJ Green this offseason. And...He doesn't pick silly-@$$ fights with Nigel Hayes. Yogi's Picnic Basket Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Only thing with Marshall is he has been known to work multiple jobs through the year. Working with the Bengals this last year but also worked with draft prospects as well as helping some colleges with conditioning programs. Obviously if you can get him you do, but probably why he wasn't named as a member. I expect him to help, but also have someone here to implement his system full time. Not saying they won't be great but I don't get the sense from any of my U.K. or Duke friends that they are aware for one of who we are adding and two that they are nervous. This is 100% wait and see/they will need to prove they can get it doneSent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Tom White 1 Quote

The average fan from another school isn't going to see it until we start making moves on the recruiting front. Dalton26 1 Quote

Dalton26 Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Looks like a good group!Flint is the one that I know the least about, but from what others on here have said he was a good hire. I really don't see a weak link on our staff. Anyone know if Elston is for sure staying? Quote

Hoosier Guy Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 This is simply awesome. IU is about to be elite once again. The only thing missing was a coach and IU sure as hell has that now. All hail Archie Miller!Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Brass Cannon and Milldawg12 2 Quote

JSHoosier Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 I like the Schilling hire, at least he has ties to the state. Ostrom, I know nothing about. Flint, I have clue why anyone is excited over that other than he was a bad head coach for a long time; that's not a 'top staff' type hire to me. Quote

Honestly, U of L is UK's biggest rival right now so their fans arent as focused on us and Duke will always care about UNC and have no clue why they would have interest in what were doing. Ed Schilling is known on the recruiting trail and that is all that matters to me. He has 2 5 stars this year along w Riley who is top 50, he helped get 3 potential 1st round picks last year and a lot more. He coached Yogi Ferrell who you should know as well as Trevon Bluiett. Him alone honestly is better than whole staffs Crean had put together. Kenny Johnson was the only assistant and maybe McClain that was known here. If Clif Marshall comes here full time he gives us the best S/C coach in the country. Tom Ostrom and Bill Cromer are Archie's guys who he trust, which is vital for any staff. Bruiser Flint knows the game and is a tough guy from Philly. We have a truly amazing staff and I truly wouldn't pay attention to any staffs UK or Duke put together today and it surely wouldn't be something I immediately reacted to either.
