AZ Hoosier

Archie MIller Press Conference

Recommended Posts

I went to the press conference, my notes:
-Sat behind the womens basketball coaching staff, they seemed engaged.
-Was near Tim Garl, he looked bored haha
-General fans looked interested and positive in this new coaching change.

Future is bright. I'm on board with one foot and 90% of my body in, just have a foot hanging out.

Glad to see

You make the call with the offer in hand. You don't call and say "Brad, let's talk about this". What is there to talk about? What is there to learn? You know who Brad Stevens is at this point. I am fully aware the answer was going to be no, but you call with an offer and make him say no to the actual offer not the process. If you disagree cool. Agree to disagree then. Coach 'em up Coach Miller! Go Hoosiers!

That's no different than throwing mud at the wall and hoping it sticks. It takes time to formulate an offer. Time that we didn't really have to waste. Fred Glass is a very smart man (although some doubt that) and handled this very well imo. I agree that the call to Stevens had to be made but I disagree that we needed to call with an offer in hand.

Just watched the presser, haven't read the 246 posts about it yet.

I was worried about him being so awkward, turns out it's not as bad as I knew him to be at Dayton.  He seemed very polished.  Still a little awkward, but very polished.  He's going to play the PC game right.  That was relieving to see.

He's going to oversign.  I've never had a problem with it, but I know some of you hated it.  This is the way college basketball goes now.

Decent presser overall, a little boring though.  Go Hoosiers
