(Both are former players and experienced coaches, with modest success in the NCAA tourney).Painter does not have all the baggage that Alford will bring. Also, Painter sat under Keady for a number of years and was groomed to be the next PUke coach. Alford has left a trail of bad ju-ju in his wake. Alford has pretty much groomed himself. Bowhunter Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Bennett's teams are soooo boring. I love great defense but at the same time, when you can't score, the other team always has a chance.
