bigrod Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Where did hulls say that?Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appHere is the quote from Hulls:I have never seen Coach shoot a jump shot. Ever. He would always demonstrate drills and such but he never actually fired it up there. Maybe he did it so we could just get on with the drill because he was always super efficient with practices and what we had to get done…But 4 years and never see him shoot a jumper? Pretty interesting, haha.Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app Trish, ALASKA HOOSIER, thebigweave and 1 other 4 Quote

VO5 Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 I like that Al's committed to IU and is excited about coming here. At the same time, I really don't see why we didn't let him walk. We have an abundance of guards this upcoming year and the 2018 class is loaded with good ones. I just don't see where he fits in. IUfan_Charlie, ALASKA HOOSIER, Dalton26 and 1 other 4 Quote

VO5 Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Is everyone so sure Gelon is transferring? If you watch the guard video, there seems to be another player/manager sitting in the background at the end. Looked like it could be Gelon. Who knows if he has a small tweak or something that caused him to sit out. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

rebelhoosier848891 Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Good news on the Durham front! I like his game. Makes me wonder how the numbers are going to work out but I know Archie has a plan. So--how do you pronounce "Aljami"? My pronunciation is..."I'll jammy"'as in "I'll jammy" the basketball!Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Kepner, ALASKA HOOSIER and IUsafety 3 Quote

JHoosier914 Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 I hate to say it but I see OG and TB leaving and JBJ coming back. Without Moore, I think that leaves us at the total amount of allowable scholarships with no one transferring. As much as I hate to say it, I think it would be best for a relatively-low minutes-based player to transfer, and maybe go after a grad transfer 'big' ala Max Biedfeldt to help with the possibility of OG and TB gone.I'm sure someone has said all this...just recently got this app downloaded to my new phone and hadn't taken the time to read the 76 pages worth of posts on this thread lolSent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 I think Archie is in a good spot here. He can tell current players we want you back. WINHe has 3 capable recruits that would ideally jump at the chance to take an available opening- WIN As long as he isn't in the dark on who is leaving it's a win-win. The Loss aspect of this is on whichever recruit(s) may not join the team. But even then that might not really be a loss to them because they have time to find a better fit. The biggest thing is, I hope no players are stringing CAM along. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners IUsafety, Str8Hoosiers, kottke and 2 others 5 Quote

Hard to judge by assuming he's coming back/not coming back based on the video. James has announced he's testing the waters yet he's still working out with the team. Also, he's only allowed to work with a certain number of players per week/day I believe. Maybe Gelon didn't make the cut in yesterday's workout? Just guessing there. VO5 1 Quote

When I was at IU, we always knew a player was transferring if they started showing up at the Hyper to play. I knew that Hollowell and Larryn Brooks were transferring weeks before it was announced because they started playing there most days. So if anyone on here is currently a student, watch for that.
