Yeah I had a jolt of excitement than quickly remembered the game. Glass didnt go to a lot of road games this year so it could be something. Im guessing since it is the freaking NIT he definitely wants to be there tho lol.

So I just listened to the Hoosier Sports Report down here on 1450. Matt Dennison does a great job on this show. He had Gregg Doyel and Mike Pegram on. Here are some interesting points that were made.


1. Doyel doesn't think Crean deserves to be fired. But he questions why they want to continue this marriage.

2. He also believes that Crean would be fired before the NIT if it were to happen. He believes that Crean does not want to leave.

3. He believes that Crean used Mizzou as leverage for an extension and it backfired.

4. He spoke to Crean and Glass yesterday to inform them that he considers them friends and that he wasn't ridiculing them. He's just doing his job. Crean and Glass both told him that they understand.

5. Mike Pegram said that an NIT run would only win back a portion of the fan base. Fan apathy is high. A lot of fans want a coaching change and deservedly so.


All in all, I believe that change is unlikely. I have decided to just root for them in the NIT because losing tonight isn't going to make 1 bit of difference.

I actually have to agree about if he was gonna be fired it happens before the NIT but it doesn't mean it still won't happen. It went from 80% him being gone a week ago to 50/50 for me. I also believe the NIT has no affect on his coaching this team next season. The good about losing is were closer to an answer. The bad is well our season is over and were closer to an answer we dont wanna hear. I am very conflicted but I see us winning tonight and the next game.

Boys and girls - Jordan Tucker is not a make or break recruit for IU and whether he comes to IU or not should have absolutely no bearing on whatever decision ends up being made with respect to next year's coach.  He's one recruit and if he ends up being as good as he thinks he is, he'll be gone in a year to the NBA.  Do you really want to keep CTC for 1 recruit?
