Raiders and Cubs keep me upbeat. Least this year. Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app I'm a Cubs fan as well, thank god our boys took care of business this past season. What a great year. Basketball wise, I've been so use to losing (lakers) that I rather tank in all my basketball programs. Hence, why I want IU to keep on "tanking" ;) Yogi's Picnic Basket 1 Quote

yogisballin Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 And shooting along can buy you a ticket to the NBA. That was the second sentence in your original post I quoted. Again, it isn't true. Everyone at this point in the NBA in a creator, wings/guards are being more ball dominant every year as the NBA moves closer to being positionless. So so true!!! The Greek freak for just 1 example. Jump shot, broke. It's getting better though. LBJ has never been a good shooter. Shooting used to be a ticket. Is it nice to have and valuable, ABSOLUTELY but can't make it on just that. If he had some handles to throw in, he'd be sitting a little betterSent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
HoosierTrav Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 He would not have been here this year if he would not have got injured last year. Senior did not like Crean before Jr came here. Mom did. Senior wanted James to be one and done. Mom wanted a degree. James is not coming back.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appTruth Quote

He is an exception. LeBron is another guy you don't use. Sometimes there are other world talents and you just appreciate them. Why don't anyone name any back end bench players so JBJ has a chance in comparisons lol. I get what your saying but there is no point. So your saying he has no shot whatsoever cause that is the only argument against what I said. I can name 5 guys off the top of my head that came in as shooters and learned to get better at other things. JJ Reddick, Kyle Korver, Tim Hardaway Jr, Etwaun Moore, Robert Covington and I could keep going. We will see this time next year if JBJ has a shot and he may not but to say he has no shot is crazy. Zeisloft even had a shot at the Mavericks as well as Ron Baker with the Knicks. No point in arguing this right now for either of us. Some players work better in different systems in every sport. Creans doesnt really help any of our guys show off other aspects. The PG and a big if they can shoot are really the only spots that Creans offense helps. Hoosier Guy Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 To be honest, I never thought this team had Final Four potential. The coach is just too much of a liability HooHooHoo22 and Feathery 2 Quote

Even with the current talent this should be a sweet 16 team with a decent coach and we aren't even going to make the tournament. GloryDays Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 You're right on it my man. Tubby Smith won a national championship and all those regular season SEC championships and SEC tournament championships. And yet, he was fired because of underachievements in the NCAA tournament. He made it to just the one Final Four in his first season. Subsequently, he won his lone national championship that seasonTubby could coach but the recruiting fell off.The championship was with Pitino's players.I knoe a lot of Ky fans and the Donavon thing drove them crazy. Also there was a pigmentation issue with most of the toothless bastards. thebigweave 1 Quote

southernindianahoosier Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 I don't know if I'm alone in this, but I hate the 5 stars on the back of our shorts. I see it as Crean once again saying "look how much we've won", just like him hanging a B10 banner and talking about how much he's achieved. Without actually achieving success himself. Quote

The stars are fine. The 2013 B1G banner on its own was completely self serving. I wouldn't be shocked if Crean threw a hissy fit when the renovations forced all the B1G titles to be placed on a solitary banner. reconmkd and Yogi's Picnic Basket 2 Quote
