Well, I hope they keep the ticket price increase to 5% or less.  Last year was a big increase plus a reseat, and while I know many people didn't like it, I think was fairly understandable given the improvement in the team.  But don't do two big increases in a row.  3-5% per year adds up fast anyways...

We're about seven months before the start of the '26 season.  As discussed in another thread, it wouldn't take very long to jam another 500-1,000 seats in the SEZ.  I think some seats can be added in the lower corners, but that would be maybe 100 tops and it's unlikely the AD sees that opportunity like I do.

Aside from that, I doubt we see any other changes before the '26 season.  I'd love to see a few more rows added to the top of the East side, but that's probably not happening in the next six months.  I'm no construction expert, but the concrete supports and stuff would take a while.

The big question is when the AD finalizes and has the funding for the next renovation that will be press box, suites, and probably a few more seats.  Maybe Pam can somehow creatively direct some university capital budget to help get this going ;-)

I think the chances season ticket prices go up 5% or less the year after we win the national championship are slim to none. The amount of people that just paid 5-10x the cost of a single season ticket to go to the ship was pretty high.

Probably a dumb question, and the answer might be “you can’t,” because of the increased demand, but how would I go about buying season tickets for the upcoming season? I’m likely moving back to the Indy area in late summer and want to get season tickets if possible. I’m an IU alum if that matters/if there’s a different process.

Worst case scenario I just get gauged by stubhub next year, but would appreciate any insight.

They sold around 35K season tickets last year, so there will be an opportunity this year.  How many more season tickets will be available and the number of new season ticket requests is of course TBD.

Per the website: “The opportunity to purchase season tickets as a new season ticket holder for the 2026 season will be available no later than February 24, 2026.”

So, keep an eye on the IUFB ticket website.

If he doesn’t, that doesn’t speak especially well for Tino.

I mean he worked with Tino for several years and had tons of success with QB's.  I dont think him hiring somebody else necessarily speaks anything bad about Tino.

I guess what I’m saying is that Tino seems like such a natural, obvious choice.

…I also wouldn’t be surprised if he finds another QB coach with NFL experience again.

Whitmer to TB.  Does Cig welcome Tino back?

Have the same question. Will be very interesting to see the hire?  Have to imagine Cig knew this was coming so he’s prepared and has a plan in place.

Why?

Just a preference, don't feel strongly against Tino or anything. I just think there's probably more value to be had by bringing in someone with a more "outside in" perspective since both coordinators have spent their entire careers under Cig's tutelage. Of course flip side of that is you already know you can plug Tino in since he understands how the staff likes to do things. Someone closer to the Whitmer profile (NFL background) would make me more excited. JMO

I think Cig's criteria is going to come down to staff continuity, (Tino), versus NFL level tutelage being a drawing card for recruits. I have to wonder what, if any impact this has on Hoover.
