  1. Every so often, I'll look back on my younger days and think "I wish I'd have asked this girl out." or "I wish I had asked that girl out." I really wished we had dumped Woody two years ago and asked Dusty May out.

  2. Can you imagine Cronin at IU? That would’ve lasted all of about 15 minutes. And some of the dorks on our beat would’ve been eaten alive in that short period time.

ANNND? So much for the Puredoo ‘run’. 42-22 Michigan over Purdoo in the first half. At Mackey. Delicious.

  8. Field of 68 polled coaches on the best job in the B1G and Michigan was first and one of the reasons was their massive NIL budget https://www.on3.com/sites/field-of-68/news/big-ten-basketball-job-rankings/

I'm so glad we didn't hire this jackass. The jury is still out on CDD, but Cronin would've been a terrible hire.

  10. I agree with that but the issue is look at how well Dusty did at FAU.

  12. Amazing that Cronin is such a basket case. I don't really care how he treats the media, but how he treated his own player at Michigan State is nuts. That guy sucks out loud.

  17. Michigan had enough money to get a projected first rounder to come back to school for another year and enough money to steal a kid from a rival school where he would of been a starter and Underwood was mad as hell he lost. They are loaded. My guess is when they saw what they had in Dusty when they gave him a contract extension after 1 year he had assurances that they would be top a top spender and so far that’s exactly what they have done

  18. Think about that; Amish Boy, The Flopper, and TKR will finish their Purdue careers with a 4-4 record against one of the worst eras of IU hoops, but only if they win the upcoming home game. If Wilkerson and Dorn go on a heater or TKR gets in foul trouble, they will finish their Purdump careers with a 3-5 record against IU.

  19. Cadeau started almost every game at UNC, including on a NCAA 1 seed as a true freshman. Former 5 star recruit. I guarantee his NIL is significantly higher than guys like Enright and Conerway

l'm also counting this: https://www.wilx.com/2026/02/18/ucla-coach-mick-cronin-sounds-off-reporter-after-loss-michigan-state/ The crazy things to me about Cronin ejecting his own player are that: 1. The 'flagrant foul' wasn't really flagrant at at all; it was a backup big chasing down a play and getting mostly ball from behind. 2. Cronin's primary postgame gripe (besides his "Are you talkin' to me?!?" silliness to a reporter) is that his team isn't nearly physical enough. So he puts in a backup in a blowout, the kid chases a turnover really hard and gets to the run out, and Cronin humiliates the kid in front of 15,000 people. 3. The kid he 'ejected' is a former MSU student ... not basketball player; a student. He tried to be an MSU student manager or walk-on before transferring out of state. So he probably had many friends at the game. Unless that Jamerson kid is already a pariah, that move by Cronin will completely lose that locker room. UCLA now falling towards the bubble and Cronin should be ashamed of himself. I think this week has been a good indication of what a roster needs to look like to be a final four contender. We got to see Illinois up close and then Michigan is just a class above everyone else in the conference. I think both are threats to win it all. Michigan vs Duke is going to be must watch tv. Both Michigan and Illinois have size, skill, and don’t lack athleticism. And it’s across the board in their starting lineup. You can have a skilled roster with size, like Purdue, and be a second weekend caliber team but have a ceiling.

We’ve got plenty of money. The big question is if CDD can shake it loose.

  36. I’d guess it’s a fair bit more than us. Landenburg, Mara, McKenney, Morez, and Cadeau couldn’t have come all that cheap.

  37. I bet it's significantly more than us. Yaxel was a projected first round pick and they paid him enough to skip that. Other transfers who were contributors last season at North Carolina, Illinois, and UCLA. But to your point, Dusty has built himself a reputation where he is likely to win out on guys if the money is close.

    RIP Robert Duval

Got to confess, despite him being in 2 of probably my 5 favorite movies ever, To Kill a Mockingbird and The Godfather, and knowing that he was objectively great, never felt like I was really a fan of Duvall specifically. But then you look at the filmography in print and it’s just nuts and you realize that he wasn’t just great, he was GREAT.
