Sorry if this has already been posted somewhere else, but this stat blew my mind. Indiana has won 5% of their games ALL-TIME in just the last 2 seasons! 27wins /534 all-time= .050. That is RIDICULOUS.5 points -

New winning streak now at 2 with a 6-3 win over Nevada. Taylor Hess started on the mound and pitched 4 scoreless innings. Ella Trout took over in the 5th and was charged with all 3 of Nevada's runs. We had 6 hits, the big one a 3-run HR from Avery Parker in the 3rd. We'll play Nevada again on Sunday at noon.3 points -

How bad is the Georgia Tech/Notre Dame game? I have it on the tv that the dog ate the remote, so I have to get up and manually change the channel. I just made that trek, and when I hunker down for a day of hoops, I tend to stay hunkered.3 points -

Man, it sure was. They were kind of ahead of their time with the 3 pt shooting and versatile bigs. Plus we had so much toughness with Cov who was bulldog, Dane who was a junkyard dawg, and of course AJ. That was a blast even though we came up just short.3 points -

DDV on Conerway: “We’ll just take it a game at a time and see what those rotations look like,” Darian DeVries said on Friday. “But as we head into it, we’ll stick with what we’ve been going with here recently and try to get him back involved as that happens. Then those minutes will be distributed based on kind of how we’re playing, how he’s playing, and we’ll just take it from there.”3 points -
How Is Darian Devries Doing?
J34 and one other reacted to HoosierMatty for a topic
One thing I really have to tip my hat to on coach DeVries is the fact he's willing to make changes as the season goes on. And in the instance with Alexis he's transparent about making a mistake. When was the last time you can remember a coach at IU make changes as the year goes on. They would just keep running the same stuff that doesn't work into the ground . Even in the recent press conference when talking about bringing back Connerway he said he's going to basically keep Dorn in the starting lineup and just work Tayton in where it makes sense. I know this seems like a low bar but it's just a nice change of pace after all the stubborn coaches we've had. If Woodson was the coach he would have immediately put him back in the starting line up.2 points -

Certainly one of the best looking shooters. And he made I believe 5 3’s last night, though he also aired out 2. But right now that’s what he’s got because the rest of his game is a ways away from helping. Side note: The HC of the St James School is none other than Book Richardson, who fell on the grenade for Sean Miller at Arizona back in the day.2 points -

This is exactly what I was referring to in an earlier post in this game thread. She continually tried to make plays that clearly weren't there. Chances are slim of a 6-1 player making a layup against two bigger defenders. Maybe it was a product of her trying to do too much? If she stays within her game, she's typically pretty good. But when she gets out of her game, it almost becomes counterproductive to have her on the court.1 point -

Beaumont needs an intervention: no more 1-on-1 "go to the basket" moves against McDonalds All-Americans like Kennedy Smith. Beau got it stuffed back in her face for the umpteenth time. Passing? great; 3-point shooting? great; Mid-range jumper? great; Bring the ball up and run offense? great; go 1-on-1 to the hoop with Kennedy Smith? NO! That is just not a strong suite for Beaumont, but she keeps on coming back with it, with minimal effectiveness. It probably made Kennedy Smith's highlight reel; not a good place to be.1 point -
I think there’s a fair element of “act like you’ve been there before” at play with schools like KU that maybe we’re lacking a bit at this point. Went to a Bama-Mizzou a few yrs ago when Saban really had them rolling and that fanbase couldn’t have been nicer or more indulgent as they were boat racing Mizzou. There was a lot of “you guys are gonna get it together, really.”1 point

Hmm. IMO at home our student section is notably vulgar and not nice. And given the size of the student section the overall AH vibe is not exactly nice to the visiting team. The rest of the AH fans are generally Midwest nice. Visiting fans are treated okay. Neutral and road games I’ve never noticed much of an issue with us. It’s hard to rank niceness.1 point -

He's ranked that high because of his body and his athletic ability. He does not have great ball skills, but he is an NBA athlete and a very capable rebounder and not a bad passer. He is very raw however, and definitely needs some coaching. He doesn't score much unless he dunks it, but he does understand when to cut and he doesn't hesitate once he's there. A project for sure.1 point
