  1. Don't have to like her, but if you've seen what they're doing to her in the league it's far, far from normal. It's routine hitting, elbowing, shoving, throwing her to the floor, etc. That's not a big girl pants issue, it's pathetic and ridiculous, but frankly, she's been taking it and playing through it, she hasn't been whining.

  3. https://www.insidethehall.com/2025/08/08/three-observations-from-iu-basketballs-first-exhibition-game-in-puerto-rico/ It can't be true, but they ran off-ball screens to free up shooters? I didn't think it was the coach's job to get guys shots? In all seriousness, it will be nice to watch actual ball movement again.

  4. I do not think there is going to be a livestream for these games, but if there is, I think it will be found on their youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@KKMegaBasket/streams I have shamelessly sent an email inquiry to the account associated with their profile Will keep you guys posted in the unlikely event of a response, but I assume both parties agreed not to livestream

  5. The other players and the league are basically trying to punish her when the league has exploded because of her like it or not. I think Mark Davis of the Vegas Raiders fame bought the Vegas Aces for about $2 million 4 years ago and is worth about $310 million now after a championship or 2. A month ago, they added 3 teams at $250 million a piece while the Connecticut Suns have been sold for about $350 million and are moving to Boston I believe. The league hasn't turned a profit since it started, but it is starting to see some money roll in partly due to her and one or 2 others coming in. Fever games moved from smaller arenas to the NBA arenas when they are on the road because of ticket demand. Whether or not they like it, she has brought a lot of attention to the league along with money and their CBA is up at the end of this season or just after it. It will be interesting what happens, but it is nice to know that IU women's team had decent success against her. Now, what will be the 3 point percentage in the next PR game?

  8. Not really sure why I am reading so much about a league that exists ONLY as a gift from the NBA.... not sure why so many of you can't accept that CC is a victim of racism. It's like the most obvious form of racism we've seen in sports in a long time. Call it what it is.

  15. I for one will not be panicking, the results of this preseason foreign competition tour do not matter for the actual season. This group has had 10 official practices together unless I'm mistaken. It would be surprising to me if they beat a group of guys that have been together longer than that / much more experience with the format of play. The usefulness of the trip is totally about building some chemistry in the locker room and for the staff to get an idea of what needs to be prioritized between now and November. See what the dynamic is when they're actually competing against another group of guys and not just each other in practice. Sure I'm preaching to the choir on this though

  18. Clark is a better player than Reese (I suppose) but Clark isn’t even the best player on her own (.500) team. And for all of the viral vids of Reese missing bunnies, at least Reese is 44% from the floor. And funny enough, Reese, who is a terrible three-point shooter, isn’t even that much worse than Clark from three-point range. Anyway, apologies to all for hijacking the thread. It’s an interesting discussion but I’ll bow out because we’re way off topic

  19. Angel Reese shouldn't be muttered in the same sentence as CC, truthfully. One is an elite basketball player, generational in college, and an incredible rookie year. The other grabs offensive rebs from their own misses and did a cute choke sign one time. This **** is so incredibly obvious lol

  22. Possible record scenarios leading up to the big games. Illinois - 9/20 IUFB most likely will be 3-0 ILL might already have one loss against Duke. It's likely both teams will be unbeaten. My hope is IUFB is 3-0 and the Illini are at least 2-1 going into this week. It'll be a game most likely competing for a College GameDay/Big Noon Kick Off weekend should those records hold up. The other possible games competing this week are Florida at Miami, Oregon State at Oregon, Washington at Wash St. at Iowa - 9/27 IUFB might have one loss against ILL 3-1 or come into the game 4-0 Iowa has two road games against rival Iowa St. and Rutgers that could give them a challenge. Road games tend to be a bit of a wildcard and if they trip up with either or both of these two it wouldn't surprise me. However, if I had to guess, they'll probably be coming into the game either undefeated or with one loss. My hope is IUFB is 4-0 and Iowa is at least 3-1 or 2-2 going into this week. at Oregon - 10/11 IUFB 5-0, 4-1, 3-2 Ducks have a pretty interesting schedule. They host Oklahoma St 9/6, play a noon game at Northwestern 9/13, host rival Oregon St 9/20, and a night game at Penn St 9/27. (West coast schools traveling has its own set of challenges and they have a very big game in three different time zones from home.) Like IUFB, they have a bye week going into the game. On paper, Penn St. is their toughest game on their schedule, if they stay undefeated they are a clear favorite to defend the Big Ten title. However, I don't think they'll get through this schedule unscathed. If I had to guess, 1 loss minimum, 2 losses max. My hope is IUFB is 5-0 and Ducks are at least 3-2 or 4-1 going into this week. It'll be a game most likely competing for a College GameDay/Big Noon Kick Off weekend should those records hold up. The other possible games competing this week are South Carolina at LSU, Florida at Texas A&M, OSU at Illinois. at Penn St. 11/8 IUFB 9-0, 8-1, 7-2, 6-3 or the wheels have fallen completely off Penn St has a schedule they should be able to handle but the games that might challenge them are Oregon 9/27, at UCLA 10/4, at Iowa 10/18 and at O$U 11/1. The only two games that might trip them up are the Ducks and Bucks. So it's possible they could be coming into this week with 2 losses. However, they'll likely be unbeaten or have only one loss. My hope is IUFB is 9-0 and State is at least 6-2 going into this week. An on paper likely scenario is IUFB is 8-1 or 7-2 and State is 8-0 or 7-1. It'll be a really big game and most likely be a College GameDay/Big Noon Kick Off weekend should those records hold up. All kinds of possibilities can happen but the best case scenarios here really look doable should they compete and stay healthy like they did last year. Big Ten road games are tough and who knows how IUFB will handle them. It does look like that with every big game here there's a real possibility that all the teams will have already have a loss or two under their belt.

  23. Disagree. Here's the first link that came up with a "Caitlin Clark complaining to refs" Google search. It's from a few weeks ago. Basically, what happens here is that the same ref gets multiple calls right and Caitlin loses her sh!t. And this throwing her arms up with a flourish of condescension has been going on since she became well known at Iowa. It's not the end of the world - lots of superstars do it; but to pretend that she doesn't is not accurate (and most of the stars that do it aren't shooting 27% from 3 and 36% from the floor): Finally - a dose of reality for y'all: Do lots of players resent that by far the most famous player in league history is an extremely inefficient player that doesn't really contribute to winning like many of them do? You betcha. There's a reason that Mackenzie Holmes, by all measures a class act, got really tired of Clark's nonsense and walked at her to stare her down when IU was beating the piss out of Iowa and Holmes swatted a Clark shot. Or never show emotion Scalia trashed her in the final minutes of that game. Mack and Scalia would never do that to McMahon from OSU or another league superstar.

  26. And that’s why the players are also so incredibly chippy and hate so much on best player in the league Breanna Stewart? Oh wait; they’re not. Reese and Clark are way over their skis in attitude and the public eye and better players resent it? Yup—that I can see for sure.

    IUFB Offseason Updates

It’s quite an achievement to even make this list — the other programs discussed are huge and established, like 50-75% more player payroll than we have (for now). And our staff is only 18 months in!

  30. Not a big Caitlin fan. She was a world class whiner at Iowa and she still is. Just because she plays for the local team doesn't change my opinion about her. She's a massive talent, I'll give her that. But, you are in the pro's now, so put your big girl pants on and just play the game. Give what you get and move on.

  35. Bored so I pulled up Mega Superbet's roster and don't know about guard play but they are loaded in the front court-- Bogoljub Markovic-6'11" #47 draft pick of the Bucks. Played well in Summer League but they opted to stash him at Superbet for ayear Lazar Gacic-6'10"- Demo's guy from the Serbian national team Luigi Suigo-7'3"- Prospect from Spain who visited IU back in June We will have our hands full and should learn alot about playing against size. Sort of a Big Ten preview.

  36. Yup, competition aside, he scored the bulk of his 21 through putbacks. That indicates a guy playing very hard. You want to see the floor as a freshman on this team? Hitting the glass hard is the perfect way to do that. The fact Trent grew up an IU fan and committed to the university - not a staff - makes it incredibly easy to root for the kid. Going to be fun watching his career unfold here.

  37. Ya know, any kid that is a top 100 recruit and the most recent MVP at Montverde would be expected to contribute as a freshman. Trent Sisley just happens to be a Jimmy Chitwood clone from Santa Claus, Indiana. I guess it’s possible that a hometown hero can be coming in ‘underrated’. Sure as hell looks like he’s gonna be a bonafide rotation guy. Great stuff.

  45. The first couple of months of the CDD era were most certainly not a cluster f. Head coaches and staffs don't suddenly 'figure things out'. There was always a plan and a mindset that was in action, both for good days and bad days; it's just that some (not most) fans were impatient because they didn't see the public results immediately.
