I have a lot of respect for Ware. He had a bad freshman year and came to IU and did the work. I think is just beginning to grow into how good he can be. He has all tools to be a great NBA player.

You emailed the AD on multiple occasions demanding he fire Woodson and came to multiple boards to tell everyone (brag?) about it. Out of everyone here, you were probably among the worst of the worst. People are upset he did a bad job, blamed the fans for noticing, and then parroted all of those people's complaints about him after his rich friends bailed him out. "You guys don't know basketball. Mike Woodson knows basketball. Mike Woodson thinks we need more guards because guard play is what rules college basketball." Well thanks for noticing you basketball savant. I mean Cal40Cheaney and IUbball4eva have only been screaming that on Twitter for 3 years but man have you earned that check Woody. He better win games. That is all that saves him right now. He has a group that can't stand him and he has people (like you) that will defend him when things aren't flying but will be on the horn to the AD the minute he starts to underperform. And he has pissed off enough media types that they will be more than happy to back the bus over him after the fans have thrown him under it if he doesn't win. And that is all on him.

Everyone has their own standards for what is good or acceptable to them and their own temperament in terms of how they respond/form their views over time. To each their own. A generally decent rule of thumb that I think applies here no matter where you fall on Woodson … never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.

When I say a “Uniter” I mean someone that hasn’t already divided and seems to be happy to continue to divide. Winning Consistently for sure is the biggest hurdle. Woody started as a “Uniter” “us against them” guy but this season he turned on a huge portion of the fanbase. Instead of taking accountability and saying he didn’t live up to his own expectations and these are the things we are going to do to fix it. He went on a crusade against fans not happy with him not reaching the expectations he acknowledges. Just completely backwards strategy and could have been much easier if he could have swallowed some pride.

You’re paying a guy 3 million dollar a year and he buys himself the best roster he’s ever had….. and the best ceiling most of us have is sweet sixteen with a possible elite 8 chance. What the heck are we even doing? That’s loser mentality and defeatism. You play to win championships. Not to settle for mediocrity .

Strange Vendetta my guy. It’s Because they want Indiana to be great above all things else. Look at how the cover IUWBB. They would be Woodys biggest fans if only he was good at coaching college basketball and winning games. Enduring last season in real time was difficult for the most ardent fans. As an aside we all knew this was going to end badly at some point because they are fans yet they were functioning in a much larger capacity with real impact.

None of us will ever be able to confirm if Woodson said that exactly. But it sounds like a statement from someone who talks in Third Person 70% of the time would make. Frankly he’s hinted at this thought this season before.

Eric said the Woodson meeting happened in May, not April. Scott Dolson podcast was released on April 30th as well so it sounds like there was a gap between the podcast and the in person conversation.

Man some days all you can do is laugh at our institution. Our athletic department as a whole has been an absolute **** show for all of our lives. But I don’t think that as far as the institution goes. But the last 20ish years? It’s one thing after another. Forget basketball. It’s been a joke for 25 years. Will never not support it, and will be the biggest sunshine pumper there is. But it’s a **** show. Anyone suggests otherwise is lying to themselves. I just have always thought, and been consistent for close to 20 years on these boards it goes way higher and it won’t be fixed for a long time. Even then how much damage did it take to get there? There is no exit plan in place after Woody. We all know it. It just keeps getting progressively worse in all areas of the University. I have zero confidence they get anything right. And I know they read these comments.
