I’ve seen a bunch of X accounts who fancy themselves Colts thought leaders suggest over the years that Irsay mandated taking a QB in ‘23, so it was Richardson or Levis. No idea if that’s true, but given what a traits guy Ballard is it’s tough to picture him not being on board unless AR just interviewed terribly. Rico 1 Quote

That draft year the Colts got out managed by the Panthers. So it's safe to say all parties are at fault. They had a shot to move up from the 4th overall pick. Instead they ended up staying put. Who knows if they tried to move up but, imo, the only two viable picks that year were Young or Stroud (and I felt this way at the time as well). Personally, at the time, I wanted the Colts to give up the farm on Stroud. Today, I'm kind of glad that didn't happen, sorta, kinda. The jury is still out on Danny Dimes but I do like them drafting a QB last year. Maybe Leonard will end up being a solid player but I would have picked Rourke, for biased reasons. Leonard was a 6th round pick. Rourke was available at the time. Quote
steubenhoosier Posted September 11 Posted September 11 Really sucks that a Colts home game this Sunday starts at 4:05, this going up against the Eagles-Chiefs game Quote

Josh Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Steichen mismanaged those last 2 minutes so badly wtf. He was fine setting up his kicker with a 60 yard field goal rather than trying to move the ball closer. Then bailed out with a makeup call...well I won't forget it Shane. That was really bad. But a win is a win I guess. 2-0 baby bigrod and moyemayhem 2 Quote

But none of that really matters when you almost intentionally leave yourself a 55-60 to try to win. Refs were rough on us early. This was the ultimate payback. Very lucky. Rico Posted September 15 Posted September 15 The Colts scored on their first 3 possessions yesterday which means they started the season scoring on their first 10 to start the season. A NFL record. The Colts have not punted yet in the first 2 games. Also a NFL record. Quote

Luckily, he got bailed out by an iffy call (in a poorly called game). moyemayhem and thebigweave 2 Quote

On a 50 sure try and get away with that. But dudes longest in warm ups was 59 yards. Message should have been whatever you do don’t get a penalty Rico and CSP 2 Quote

Brass Cannon Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I despise holding they ignore 90+ percent of the time. Because it’s apparently not a big deal but then call it in game changing moments. Call it more frequently or make it allowed under certain conditions. It’s called less often than traveling in the NBA southsidehoosier 1 Quote
