The ‘stories’ of nakedness and dry humping (“running”) at NW have been investigated snd documented.  There really isn’t any doubt to their truth.

Oh, did you see the investigative document?

If I was the Ryan family, I'd be questioning my $480 million stadium donation right now. I don't think that's out of line at all.

Why?  You either rebuild the program and facility to compete in the Big10.  Or you join the MAC or something, where they belong.

We’d be very different billionaires. I’m not giving a dime to that rudderless dumpster fire.

I think just like you, most what is considered "hazing" these days is just dudes messing with each other.  It's all in good fun and no harm intended.

Now I just don't buy the "stories" that have come out with NW football.  I believe they may have messed with dudes that made mistakes, dumb plays, or whatever.  But the nakedness and "humping" allegations see far out there.  These guys are football players -- if something went "too far," somebody's @$$ would get kicked.  They usually don't take a lot of crap.

Hell back several years ago at our high school, one kid was getting harassed by the "chosen star" of the team.  The victim took maters into his own hands and pissed on the star's gear.  Sure he got in trouble, but the crap stopped.  He went on to be a state placed wrestler and in college was part of a championship team.  :)

Most kids aren't going to kick another teammates @$$ because they are being hazed. Guys want to fit in, they want to show they can handle it, that it doesn't bother them. True hardcore hazing serves no purpose and doesn't bring guys together, it's just a way to humiliate, tolerate bullies or carry on some old school tradition ("I was hazed so you're going to get hazed"). Messing with teammates and making them do stupid stuff, chores, etc. isn't the same as "hazing" that has been described, true or not, which we'll never know. But nudity has been apart of sports and fraternity hazing since hazing has been a thing, so I don't find it that hard to believe. I played sports my whole life and was in a fraternity. What's being described is pretty common if indeed that type of hazing was occurring.

Northwestern released a summary of the investigation document.  Quote:

The hazing included "forced participation, nudity and sexualized acts of a degrading nature" in violation of university policies.

Another thought is that the firing of Fitzgerald could have something to do with the contribution....i.e., with the situation about to come very public, maybe the donation doesn't stay without changes.

No problem.  I'll just leave it at this gem from John Henry Wigmore:

"Cross examination is beyond any doubt the greatest legal engine ever invented for the discovery of truth."

Yeah, I get it, but it also doesn't make sense that a university would open itself up to the ramifications (legal or otherwise) that come with a statement like that if they weren't damn sure.

The university statement is vague and can mean just about anything.  It’s now corrupted by media reporting of specifics.  I know when my son’s fraternity was investigated for hazing the report wasn’t even close.

Terminating Fitz tells me the media might have actually had their ducks in a row on this. Because Fitz was a lifer.

IDK, I've never experienced an "Naked hazing" in my years.  And if "Big Willy Wonka" stuck his thing in my face, for whatever reason, he'd be paying for it.  But I'll say it again, if this stuff really happened at NW, we know why their football program generally sucked.

And now, thanks to the way they handled it, it's going to suck for quite some time.  They should join the PAC 12 or something.

We'll see soon enough. But let's be honest, they would have struggled again regardless now that they'll have to play a more "balanced" schedule. PU and NW  benefitted tremendously playing in the west. I wouldn't say NW has been lighting it up the past few years either.

They aren't serious about their sports.  Unlike Michigan, ND, and other "smart" schools they handicap their coaches via admissions, among other things.  Few coaches wind up staying very long.

And meanwhile back at the Rock IU football landed or the recruit landed IU over Vanderbilt and a large host of small to medium sized mid major schools…to many to list Lol.

They're losing their Kiddie Pool Division advantage after this season, so we'll see how they handle things when it's Ohio State and Michigan in the Big Ten Championship every year.

Yeah, but NW is ultra liberal and woke.  I'll bet most of the professors there don't even want college sports.

You know Evanston didn't elect a Democrat for their town mayor until '93?  Crazy ****.  But I think that's me trying to conflate the town of Evanston (where you gotta be LOADED to live there) with Northwestern University.

Pat Fitzgerald had been there for 17 years.  Chris Collins has been there for the last ten years.  They literally have had just two basketball coaches since 2000 and two football coaches since 1999.  So much for coaches 'not staying very long'.

And if you want to say 'smart' schools like Michigan don't handicap their coaches via admissions, Caleb Love and Terrance Shannon would like to have a word with you.

Literally everything you said after the word Unlike is 10000% false.
