If Campbell and co. stayed at Iowa St, they probably would've been projected 4th-5th in the Big XII this year. Too lazy to look. I assume he is getting paid more now? i guess with Penn State's resources he will eventually get actual Big Ten talent. But this is a big yikes Quote

I’m sorry that’s silly. Yes you get more resources but so does your competition. Same logic applies to Michigan Quote

They looked bad last week versus a mediocre Wisconsin team. Hard to sit here and defend Franklin on a night he screwed the pooch, but PSU has only gotten worse since his firing. Their best game since firing him is probably playing IU close in a loss. Quote

I get the argument for 16 and I’m ok with it as long as the 1st round games are on campus so again there’s some benefit to being a high seed. 24’s just too many for the obvious reason that there is no universe where a team seeded, say, 20-24 is gonna win 5 games and win the Natty. Not a chance. The depth of talent between football and basketball is just too different for a football team to do that while a basketball team could. Since you posted this 4 times are we to assume you favor a 48-team event? Asking for a friend. skhoosier2, Demo and Hovadipo 3 Quote

They are wearing Penn State jerseys. 2. Unfortunately a large number of the community that covers college football are SEC shills. And they are convinced their conference is the only one with any depth. 3. Think a large amount of the college football talking heads haven't caught up with the current landscape of college football where the talent is spread out across rosters more than it used to be. Miami almost got left out last year and then made the title game, Notre Dame arguably should’ve been in too *gags*. That wouldn’t really be a risk in a 16 team playoff. But I like that there’s still some exclusivity. The regular season still matters in a 12 team playoff. Play two games and you’re sweating a bit during the playoff reveal. The only way I’d want something like a 24 team playoff is if it means we’d get marquee OOC matchups again. Pagoda 1 Quote

skhoosier2 Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Minnesota QB looks terrible. Confused why they went away from the run. Michigan is not that good. Quote
Demo Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Have said it before and will say it again: the best thing that ever happened to inaccurate quarterbacks is the concept of the back shoulder throw. Now every ball that’s underthrown or behind a guy is reflexively referred to by the anouncers as “back shoulder”. Keelon Russell for Bama just cut loose with an obviously underthrown ball that his WR made a nice adjustment to and the announcers are extolling the accuracy of his back shoulder throw. I swear to God. Hollywood Mike Miranda 1 Quote

Demo Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Ok, the announcer in the Bama-MSU game just pronounced Kane Wommack’s last name as W-aw-mash. As in Wabash with an m. Have I been saying it way wrong all these years because that sounds not at all close to right? Quote
