The 2026 schedule is looking like a fun one, with an exciting home slate against OSU and USC and, on paper, easier road trips to Michigan, Washington, and Nebraska.

Yeah. Gotta imagine we have a great shot at Gameday with OSU coming to town. Maybe USC as well.

Oregons getting it twice this year afterall.

if I’m Lane I’m calling their bluff. No way they have leverage on you like this.

Haha.  I love CFB drama.  Especially when it doesn't really affect me and I can just enjoy the chaos.

This is a sharp contrast to our program -- Scott got a new deal done in 48 hours.  Not to brag...

They must have made one hell of a promise on NIL to get him to pull the trigger this early. But I’d much rather try to make the playoffs through the ACC than from Arkansas or some other 2nd tier SEC school.

I swear I’ve heard or read somewhere that they have a ton of people ready to throw money at the program and just need a good reason. Not sure if that’s even true, but their fan support through some really bad years leads me to believe it is.

Virginia Tech makes it official.

The AD went to the board a few months back and begged for more resources. Said they were lagging way behind other P4 schools. They agreed and are making a bigger committment -- though I'm not sure to what extent.

He will do pretty good there.  He won't have the expectations like he did at Penn St., but he has a much easier path to the playoffs.  He also let Penn St. off the hook for that buyout which I would've taken a year off and taken it easy.
