Totally reasonable to meet with adidas to ask to renegotiate.

They can refuse and that’s their right but these things are about relationships and will be something remembered with the current contract us up

Absolutely!!! Again, this is something beneficial for both parties.

Tod McShay said on his pod " I have it on good authority, Coach Cig doesn't want to leave Indiana. He wants to shove the IU program up everybody's @$$ sideways". Thought that was pretty in-line with Cig's personality lol.

Memorial Stadium would be rather painful.

Good. They absolutely should be. The worst beatdown of a top 10 team in ages and the best single win in CFB this year. Nobody has a better case than that.

He was a walk on there under Paterno.  He met his wife there.  He has a relationship with the AD from being hired by him at Temple.  If he doesn't take the job if it is offered, I would be shocked.  The question is, is he the guy to get them over that dreaded hump we have heard a lot of about around here?

Paying 50 million dollars to fire James Franklin, only to hire a worse version of James Franklin is an interesting strategy.

Hiring coaches because they played or went to school or are from the town etc is not a winning strategy and has been proven over and over and over. Hire the best coach interested in the job.

Loving every minute of it.  And feeling like Indiana Football is in a better spot than Penn State football aren’t words I thought I’d ever say once PSU rebounded from the Paterno nightmare that should have ended them in relevancy.

True, but hiring a coach that is successful and that the AD believes in is good. Rhule is a solid though not spectacular choice IMO.

Rhule is a good football coach, but so is James Franklin.  I just see the Rhule ceiling being the same as the Franklin ceiling.

I understand moving on from Franklin, as things have gotten toxic the last couple weeks, but I'd be pretty dejected as a PSU fan by hiring a guy whose knock (unable to win big games) is the exact same knock as the guy you fired.

Maybe it's the best they can do if they want to go with a proven guy at the major level.  But man; it feels like a tough sell.

This times 1million. Exactly what I said about Alford, Woodson, Wittman or any other "Indiana" guy. On the staff a la Calbert? Ok, sure, but get the best HC and he'll become an Indiana guy when he wins enough.

It ain’t no home run, if he’s their choice.  JMHO
