The worst beatdown of a top 10 team in ages and the best single win in CFB this year. Nobody has a better case than that. WayneFleekHoosier, Hoosier Roots, Pagoda and 1 other 4 Quote

He met his wife there. He has a relationship with the AD from being hired by him at Temple. If he doesn't take the job if it is offered, I would be shocked. The question is, is he the guy to get them over that dreaded hump we have heard a lot of about around here? Quote
Hoosierfan2017 Posted October 13 Posted October 13 Sounds crazy, but there could be an avenue to Coach Cig being a bigger name than Bob Knight at IU, especially given how Knight’s tenure ended. He’s not getting that anywhere else.. Jeff Flabjohns, ALASKA HOOSIER and MemphisHoosier 3 Quote

Hiring coaches because they played or went to school or are from the town etc is not a winning strategy and has been proven over and over and over. Hire the best coach interested in the job. Loving every minute of it. And feeling like Indiana Football is in a better spot than Penn State football aren’t words I thought I’d ever say once PSU rebounded from the Paterno nightmare that should have ended them in relevancy. I understand moving on from Franklin, as things have gotten toxic the last couple weeks, but I'd be pretty dejected as a PSU fan by hiring a guy whose knock (unable to win big games) is the exact same knock as the guy you fired. Maybe it's the best they can do if they want to go with a proven guy at the major level. But man; it feels like a tough sell. J34 1 Quote

Hire the best coach interested in the job. This times 1million. Exactly what I said about Alford, Woodson, Wittman or any other "Indiana" guy. On the staff a la Calbert? Ok, sure, but get the best HC and he'll become an Indiana guy when he wins enough. Quote
