jake11forever Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 Yeah, jake can forever burry his head in his butt but it is all out there for the world to see. Kansas is and has been a cheating cesspool and gotten worse under self. The list of BS is miles long. The NCAA wanted nothing to do with it including players crashing lambos on campus but hopefully the fbi corrects it all soon Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Nice comment but you don't even have the facts straight. mdn82 Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 Doesn’t make you less of a fan. My opinion on the subject is college basketball is a business. Basketball/football pay for all the other sports. So you need to treat it as such. When you struggle you make less $$. When you do well you make $$ and it also increases applicants to the university. Basketball is a window to IU for the outside world. It behooves IU to make IU basketball as good as it can be. Why not go all out and be on par with the rest of the elite schools on facilities. If I had my choice I’d rather have a chef and plush living. Especially if I’m not a one and done. I might not ever get to live in luxury again. But can they treat them different? I thought IU as a University did not allow the AD office to make that happen. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

I think what Mike did, which you seem to be having trouble doing, is determined that the FBI investigation and the evidence from it will force the NCAA to eventually respond to the findings. A difficult bit of mental gymnastics, but I'm confident in saying that his reasoning is sound. On Kansas being dirty or not - you're absolutely right. Very few "facts" are out there implicating them. I think a bit more reasoning and logic can be applied in reviewing things such as players crashing Lamborghinis and a list of other suspicious player activities. After reviewing all the circumstantial evidence and in light of the evidence of payments in college basketball produced by the current FBI investigation, I don't know how you can logically defend Kansas as clean. You can't emphatically state that they are cheating, but fighting for Kansas' honor is not a hill I'd be willing to die on. BGleas, HinnyHoosier, chicagoHOOSIER and 12 others 15 Quote

It is, however, compelling circumstantial evidence. Players like Billy Preston, Josh Selby, Cliff Alexander, Josh Jackson, and so many others at Kansas have compelling circumstances that very strongly indicate they were paid by some entity, at a minimum a shoe company or agent. That doesn't mean that the evidence has been fully vetted, or that the KU staff was part of the payments or discussion. The company backs a team led by Apples Jones, whose son Josh Jackson was selected by the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the 2017 NBA draft. Documents obtained during the corruption probe and reported by Yahoo Sports include emails that describe monthly $10,000 payments from the Baltimore-based company to Jones. "Under Armour is giving her 10k a month, and she's also getting paid by adidas now — so she's plenty taken care of," Dawkins wrote of Jones. The cryptic email doesn't address why Adidas would pay into a program sponsored by a competing shoe company. But in Jackson's only year of college basketball, he played for the University of Kansas, which is sponsored by Adidas.”Now kids, what does 2+2 equal?Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app MoyeNeeded, thebigweave, A.j.
