I didn't say it's over.  I said it seems like his decision has already been made.

Tim Langford's words, literally the words that came out of his mouth, were that he was going to give the Indiana coaches one last time to sell their program to Romeo and how he fits into the program.  If I was a Vandy fan, I'd read that and be incredibly optimistic that he has yet to really buy what IU has been selling.

Getting the last visit is good, but the fact he said "one last chance to sell Romeo on how he fits into their program" is pretty telling.

If the family does come back to IU, Schilling better be on his A game as far as showcasing his abilities to further develop players.  Name drop etc.  Players these modern kids can relate to.  Gotta put history aside and think modern for a moment.

If he can't see what's happening and buy into it, he's not looking or he's being told what to see.  Sorry, I don't buy this angle from him at all.   There is only one team in the Big Ten playing as well as Indiana right now.  Archie came in and immediately got interest from Romeo and his family; and a team playing at a level this much higher than it was in November would get the attention of any decent basketball player; as would the level of recruits committed to and with interest in Indiana.

Vanderbilt is 12th in the SEC right now. They have not won a road game.  They have a losing record.  If the decision is Vanderbilt and he's truly giving Archie "one last chance,"I would seriously question both the sincerity with which he has allowed Indiana and Kansas to recruit him, and his motivation for choosing a school.

All due respect?   I think this whole process stinks; and I'm laughing harder at the guy last week who said he has "definitely" decided and it's Indiana.  Truth be told, Indiana is in a great position with or without him.  Better with him, obviously; but Keion Brooks is sincerely interested, and the list is more impressive by the week.

He could've meant it in the context that they're giving all the schools one last chance to sell themselves before they make a decision. I agree with you though that on its face it doesn't sound good at all.

Agreed, and as I've said before, Louisville was the dream school for the kid and whoever he selects is his second choice. He is not enamored with IU and he is not enamored with KU or Drewfus. In his mind, whatever school he selects is a letdown because he can't pick U of L.

but I'm going to have to start detaching myself from this recruitment.  I think we're about to lose an in-state blue chip guy to f***ing Vanderbilt.  Unreal.

I think he pretty much had to eliminate them after the sh1t hit the fan. They very well could get penalized for the next ten years if the NCAA has any balls.

Yep I agree.  Unfortunately what's painfully obvious to us isn't as obvious to 18 year old kids. 

Even removing the fan aspect from it, IU is far and away the best choice among the 3 schools he's considering.  Recruiting often makes little sense though.
