For some reason this post reminded me of the Eric Bledsoe ordeal at pUKe.  I get pUKe isn't exactly a prestigious school, far from it, I'd be shocked if Bledsoe could spell ACT if you spotted him the A and the T there's no chance he could pass one.

Listening to that kid talk was painful. I keep waiting for him to one day publish an inspirational book about how he managed to go from failing Algebra 1 multiple times to acing the rest of his Algebra courses while taking them out of sequence.

If it is truly a business decision, and this recruitment is not shady, then how could romeo not want to go to IU. Miller>Drew and in my opinion that really isnt even a close race. Vandy will have garland, but IU will have a supporting cast that is stronger than vandy. The fan base for IU is better, assembly hall is much better than any Commodore arena, facilities are better, asst coaches are better and I think you would get more national exposure with IU. That said, its just a one year rental....I personally would rather have another phinissee than a Langford at this point. Also, some of you guys are nuts. IU will not be a make or break situation based on this kids choice. Maybe he just doesn't want the extra attention associated with IU. Either way, Miller will get the recruits he needs to have success. Look at what he is doing with recruits that are not even his.

It'd be a short book, "Ask John Calipari", and probably misspelled.

Ugh, just typing his name makes me sick.

So did Romeo say or do anything this weekend to lead people to believe one way or the other?

The fact he brought the whole family leads me to believe he is very serious about vandy. I personal think we may not lead at this point anymore and maybe we never did. If he picks vandy he is clearly not interested in playing in a big time atmosphere because vandy would be the worst gym in the big ten except maybe Penn state.

Maybe the reason the family went with him is because the don't want their 18yr old son driving 3hrs for a trip to Nashville. I wouldn't necessarily want mine to.

Bloomington is only 50 mins shorter of a trip. People tend to forget how close Nashville is to the Louisville area.

To my knowledge, just him bringing his whole family down to a game, him wearing black and nike clothing and more Nashville insiders saying that was likely the clincher trip

My post about his jacket was entirely meant in jest.  If people are using the color of his clothes they need more than Xanax.

That is the most illogical answer possible and it isn’t even close. What backlash? The people watching him now are more Romeo fans than IU fans. It isn’t like season ticket holders are going to watch Romeo to put pressure on him. Seriously, do you guys believe some of the things you type?

Yes they do.

i disagree
If they wanted to do that then they would of done the same with the Wilkes recruitment to drive up subscriptions. Instead months before he chose UCLA, they were saying UCLA was the front runner. If they wanted to drive up subscriptions since Bridges had IU in his final 3 and IU had 2 of his former teammates on the roster they could of said IU was in it until the end. But they said from the beginning that IU was a distant 3rd

People are getting hung up on the fact his family traveled with him. Apparently he made his most recent trip to Bloomington without them.

Lots of possibilities for this, most of which will be discussed here as conspiracy theories at best.

As involved and protective of Romeo as Tim Langford has been, I think we often overlook the impact mom and dad have here, as well as their points of view...

If my child was making the biggest decision of his life so far and I could only accompany him to one visit, it would be to the destination I thought was the wrong choice.
