Old Friend Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 We were rocking/dominating the 1st half. They came back and finished up by one .. Then we get abused!!! Think that might have something to do with adjustments at alf in the green/white lockeroom???? Yup, me tooooooo!!!! Damn it!! Same old problems same old crap and I'm getting tired of it!!!! Ryno6284 Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 I'm convinced that Troy will not go pro next year Can he PLEASE GO PRO?! I would not be upset one bit! JaybobHoosier, Hoosierfan2017 and Bruce038 3 Quote
Bowhunter Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 We need to get the ball to Bryant. If you don't pass him the ball, you are coming out of the game. It's that simple. Defense has to get better, no excuse for losing your man or not rotating over. JaybobHoosier and MikeRoberts 2 Quote
X-Hoosier Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 This is a massive problem. Shouldn't have even seen 20 minutes. I didn't get to watch the game... but there isn't a way to spin 0 points into looking good. MikeRoberts and JaybobHoosier 2 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Like it, love it, hate it, or despise it; this is who we are. We're long range missile launchers and great athletes racing up and down the court in search of the next score and highlight reel play for ESPN. We're also talented, and at times, exciting to watch. But we're also mentally fragile, hopelessly flawed, and subject to scoring droughts. We're non-existent on defense, inconsistent at the line, and woefully absent at gut check time. We're legless by February and heartless by March. We're equal parts inspiring and depressing. "It's Indiana". I don't like it, but this is who we are.excellent! TrueHoosier62 1 Quote
Alford Bailey Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Beilfelt leads us with 15 and 10 and we let Valentine go for 30? I expected a loss here but its the way we lose than ticks me off more times than not. Class of '66 Old Fart, theriverpilot, LockdownD and 1 other 4 Quote

Ryno6284 Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Archie Miller anyone? Yes please, no more waiting for BS. Would love nothing more than Brad to coach IU, but I don't think it's ever going to happen. Time to move on after this season. Too much of the same crap old friend and I have been talking about for the past 5 years or so. Can't take it anymore. FALSE HOPE! Bruce038 1 Quote
KingPG21 Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 So, starting to wonder how good some of you think Yogi actually is. I'm trying to think of a string of games against high-level competition where he has performed well in all of them. He'll have good games against good teams, but doesn't ever do it consistently. It is even worse when you look at his extremely high usage rate after his freshman season. We excused his sophomore year because he didn't have the pieces, but he does now. Against good competition this year he has been good against Michigan, and who else this year? Both Wisconsin games are the only two that otherwise come to mind this year. Quote

If junior Oladipo was on frosh Zeller and senior Verdell team we would've been better than the year with Yogi. Make sense? I suck at explaining this scenerio. Quote

HoosierAloha Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 . Yup!! OG makes freshman mistakes but plays hard on both ends. Key is he plays overall much better as that frosh than junior Troy. Bench Troy!! I'm tired of this crap!! No D and wild out of control sports center look at me BS offense!!! Obviously Crean can't keep him on the baseline where he need to be so let's send Crean to the locker room for a game and have Chuck run things. Yes, I'd love to see that!!! Second half, Troy makes a completely senseless turnover that leads to an open corner three. There was a timeout where Troy should have been benched. Nope, the very next play Troy is handling the ball at the top of the key, driving to his right and was lucky the MSU player touched it before going out of bounds. Troy is out of conTroy most of the time leading to multiple Troyovers and a Troywreck. JaybobHoosier, IUaic and Napleshoosier 3 Quote

Someone is instructing him and the team to have him operated and arrack from the top. Perhaps Troy could have worked more in the off season and been more prepared to be an occasional PG but it is clear this is something Crean thinks gives us an advantage. HoosierAloha 1 Quote
cthomas Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 I just hope that the Iowa beats Purdue at home, IU beats Iowa at home, doesn't turn into Purdue beats IU on the road! Quote
Feathery Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 off the top of my head, for next year, I think Izzo has 4-5? Top 50 players. I think? If I'm right, watch out B1G. That's the problem. Crean has 2 healthy McD All Americans and a slew of other quality players on the roster and gets smoked by a team that on paper is less talented. If Izzo was our coach, then IU is a top 3 team nationally this season. It's so frustrating that we don't have the best coaching in the conference, when we are the marquee basketball program in the conference. WayneFleekHoosier, HoosierAloha and schoosier 3 Quote
Bruce038 Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Liked Max starting, he responded nicely. OG did what OG does. Otherwise not much to be happy about. Obviously Yogi is struggling, we are going nowhere without him. Troy is not very good, Crean needs to accept this and adjust accordingly. Next two at AH will hopefully right the ship. Go Hoosiers!. Crean says TW a first rounder....hope pacers don't choose him Quote
