Its also a shame UK had to fall to its 3rd or 4th choice in order to nab Keion.  That's when you know you've got recruiting on lockdown.

Coming on the heels of his announcement, this will sound like sour grapes or rationalization, but I made these same comments some time ago.  He's a great player and would be a great addition to our program, but I'm not convinced it was the best thing for our long term benefit.  We need players who will help us build our program back up and I don't think relying on 1 and dones is in our best interest in the short run.  No animosity towards Keion whatsoever and I wish him well.

Learning lesson for Archie.  5 star prima donnas will string you along and jump at the chance to play for an "elite" program.  Screw that, go get us some players that aren't focused on their "brand", their "ego", and their NBA dreams but want to bust their ***** improving their game and winning games.

Let’s be honest: he chose the much better program at this point in time. We are so damn lucky to have TJD and the ones who’ve decided to come. We have a large hole to dig out of as a program. We desperately need Justin Smith to drastically improve.

Thing is cal can basically can come in at the last minute and get these guys. The fack brooks keep waiting just killed iu. Romeo waiting helped us This was the opposite. Fred was right this is going to be a rebuild.

True any of those guys pick kentucky and brooks comes to iu. Cal lost out on alot of guys

Well with only 3 scholarships to fill we were never going to have a top class because those rankings factor quantity and quality. We have 2 good players coming in and will likely get another. Sucks to lose out on Brooks, but losing to the best recruiter in college basketball does not say anything about Archie's recruiting momentum

No one in his home state will give a damn what he does from this point forward. I guess that doesn’t bother him. He will fade into obscurity a la Harris, Teague, Lyles, Wilkes, etc.

His message might sound harsh but there’s some truth to it. There’s no real legacy to leave at UK like he could have at IU. But that is my wish, not Keion’s.

Archie got the last 2 Indiana Mr. Basketball’s and people are saying he’s losing recruiting momentum. You guys need to get a grip and try to think rationally. We don’t get ANY of the current Indiana recruits the last two years with the previous staff.

Twitter/Facebook might be a different story but those places are toxic 100% of the time.
