WayneFleekHoosier Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 So sad. Can't just decide to play de when you are losing. We ratcheted up the D when down. It's no wonder we lose leads so often. D has to be a culture. A desire. It has to be a requirement from the coach. My excitement for BB season went from 100 to 10 after that game. crazywillie Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Embarassing...no heart...cant guard a freshman driving to the hole...same thing every year for hoosiers. The last four minutes of this thing was pathetic. colonel06 1 Quote

LIHoosier Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 For the sake of repeating: This thread is being watched. This thread is for commentary on the Wake game, not your opinion of Crean Sorry, but some of the things that happened in this game go hand in hand with what we've seen on a repeated basis. Unfortunately, there's a commonality that can't be ignored. Alford Bailey, KingPG21 and pumpfake 3 Quote
SteelerHoosier Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 10-29 from deep is not a recipe for success Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Only semi-positive---defense was better second half----until crunch time. Flush and regroup. I hope this is an isolated case because we appear to have major problems inside again. Interior defense---where are you? We need TB to grow up fast! Quote
KelleyHoosh Posted November 24, 2015 Author Posted November 24, 2015 Sorry, but some of the things that happened in this game go hand in hand with what we've seen on a repeated basis. Unfortunately, there's a commonality that can't be ignored. And thats fine. But express that in the Crean thread. Example of what is acceptable in this thread: Gee, that play Crean drew up with 3 seconds left sure was questionable Example of what is NOT acceptable in this thread: OMG durrrr this happens every year are you really surprised???? BYE CREAN!! Quote
AKHoosier Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 When the shots aren't falling, we're just going to get exposed because we can't play defense. That's really all there is to it. Parakeet Jones, Ranger78, JaybobHoosier and 4 others 7 Quote
Parakeet Jones Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 No matter what happens the next two days, this trip goes down as a failure. This is the type of team we should have put away with10:00 to go. I wish I could say our lack of defense was a one game issue but I'm my heart I don't believe that. HoosierReb01 Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 I apologize That's fine. But that's two name callings tonight, and you're not getting another chance there. You've done pretty well for a while, don't blow it. Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Well, an easy one in St. John's then UCLA or UNLV. Smh in frustration. We had such an easy road to the finals. If only we could have played Chaminade. We are used to that caliber of team. Quote
coonhounds Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 To me we brought the same soft team as last year. We had a entire off season to toughen up these kids and it didn't happen. Also when game was tight at the end we started standing around with no clue or jacking up a terrible three. They should be ashamed of there play for most of the night. It will be hard for them to get this season back on track if they can't play defense because other teams know how to score on us JaybobHoosier 1 Quote
sirhoosierlot Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 got to have a stronger hedge on ball screens. gotta get way way way tougher Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Where were the defensive changes that needed to be made to stop Wake's penetration? We didn't necessarily look like world beaters in our first games, but all the hopes and expectations for this season were thoroughly shot down today when all we saw was a clone of last year's team. After watching today's game, it's hard to imagine that we are a legitimate B1G contender or a team that can make much more than a squeak in the Big Dance. Bitterly disappointed.
