AZ Hoosier Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 What? Over? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!! It's amazing how relevant Animal House is... even 35+ years later... mamasa 1 Quote

rebelhoosier848891 Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 I hope all goes well for DD. I have always rooted for him and am a fan of his toughness. But an important part of growing your character is accepting responsibility for your own actions. I am just going to leave it at that and hope he continues to heal from his injuries---including the self-inflicted ones. HoosierAlex 1 Quote

MikeRoberts Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 He was going to be a key kog for us in his junior and senior years if he had stayed out of trouble. Not surprising he is dominating these poor saps HoosierHoops1 1 Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Don't want to get anything started here---but does anyone think Crean would ever consider taking him or Holt back after kicking them off the team for a year to grow up and clean up their acts---or if either would even want to come back. One would think that ship has sailed---and I think Crean did the right thing in both cases. But--I am rooting for both of them. I just wonder if the door is open for either one of them ---even a crack. Thoughts? Quote

I just wonder if the door is open for either one of them ---even a crack. Thoughts? If it was a possibility for them to come back, they wouldn't have been let go of in the first place. He wouldve given them long suspensions. But I doubt their trouble making days were over. Devin almost lost his life, and he was back to his ways months later. Holt almost killed someone (even it was an accident) and was also back to boozing. They had to go because they didn't learn a lesson and will probably be right back at it. Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 I certainly agreed with their dismissals---but I know sometimes kids later grow up and learn from their mistakes---can't really recall a D1 team that took a kid back after a 1 year hiatus--can you? Quote

Only one I can think of that was technically never kicked off but was suspended for a year was Golson at ND rebelhoosier848891 1 Quote

BlueDevil Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 I think he stayed enrolled at the school though. When the ESPN article came out in 13 it stated he was "readmitted" which made me think he was no longer a student at the time. Either way he spent a lot of time with Whitfield in Cali and was rarely if ever on campus. rebelhoosier848891 and mdn82 2 Quote
