Indiana vs Northwestern Post Game Thread

Recommended Posts

Did we press any? I had baseball practice, didn't see anything before HMP injury.

Also, in a game like that I would much prefer CTC to take yogi out when up big with 2 or 3 min left. I wanna go on a run & his legs need to be fresh!!!!

As much flack as we have given Crean lately, I give him credit for finally making an adjustment and sticking to man to man. Northwestern couldn't stick with us when we played them that way. Plus in the after game interview he stated that he gave the players a lot of rest coming into this and that is most likely a key as well. Today's team looked like the team we had that was 15-5 through the first 19 games. Great movement! Blackmon Jr looked great, and when he plays well, the team seems to gel better. Still haven't really seen Troy play like himself in awhile, hopefully he will come out of his funk for the next game. He did help out A LOT on the boards though. Yogi and JBJ carried us this game. Still had a few guys in funks but we got a great win and I think a few of those guys will come out huge for us tomorrow

Solid defense leads us to a win...  Didn't think I would see that this season.

We didn't shoot well but we defended, rebounded really well on both ends, and didn't turn it over.  Troy didn't score but rebounded well.  JBJ actually got up into his man and defended to go along with 25 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists.  Yogi had a solid game and finally outplayed Demps.  Holt had a solid game and was active in the paint.  Hanner actually attempted to block shots instead of taking a charge.

With all that said we need to attack the rim and get to the line.  When we're at the line we need to make them count.
