He could make more on TV without accepting the nearly impossible task (and dealing with recruiting/NIL etc) of making the Aces a wining program.

Probably, but he doesn't have the personality to last in TV for more than a year or 2 until TV execs wake up to see how bad he is.

if he wants to stay in BBall, he should probably be an NBA scout or something like that. Out of the lime-light.

Hard to argue with any of that....but if you cherry pick some high-lights from his resume (Final Four, #1 ranking, high draft picks) it will likely still entice some other school that doesn't prioritize b-ball, like Georgia, that doesn't have much to lose.

Oh wow. Ethan Morton is clearly advertising to the basketball world that Purdoo’s NIL program is non-existent:

Thread on Gold and Black forum suggesting that SCOTUS overturning Roe v Wade might make ‘them willing to overturn NIL’.

Purdue fans in full meltdown mode.

It’s hard to believe they don’t have a law school with intellectuals like that.

I don't get very emotional about the heartwarming stories you see in the media, but his relationship with Lacey absolutely wrecked me every step of the way. I'll never forget that.

Yeah, that was a very heartwarming story to follow, and heartbreaking at the same time. I didn't have kids at the time. I have a 6 year old daughter now. I just spent about 20 minutes going back down that rabbit hole and I'm am absolute mess over here. Just an absolute mess.

Adriean Payne has passed away. Was part of some really good Michigan State teams.

Payne was a mixed bag...as at least a handful of players at MSU have been. Seems Izzo has gotten a major pass by media and college basketball pundits for a lot of the negative that has gone on under his program. In the worst case, he appears to have helped facilitate covering up and turning a blind eye - in the best, he could have done/do a lot better at building and/or recruiting character among young men.  Certainly we've had some issues , as many college programs do...don't believe them to be nearly comparable to these...

Seems to be a pattern there, doesn't it? MSU basketball definitely has a culture and it's not just rebounding and hard-nosed defense........
