LamarCheeks Posted March 30, 2021 Posted March 30, 2021 Yikes. Ref collapsed during USC-Gonzaga game. Wasn't moving. Hope he's OK. TBS got a little too close a look for my opinion. Shoulda gone to a commercial sooner. Quote
Hovadipo Posted March 30, 2021 Posted March 30, 2021 Well luckily he looked ok on the stretcher. That was scary. Class of '66 Old Fart, woodenshoemanHoosierfan and Stuhoo 3 Quote

He looked almost embarrassed as they were wheeling him off. Hope that's a sign he'll be OK. At first, it did not look good -- he was not moving at all. Quote
woodenshoemanHoosierfan Posted March 30, 2021 Posted March 30, 2021 Just the other day, I watched the IU-UNC game from the NCAA tournament in 1984. Simmons started for us then. I wonder how his health is. I recall a few years ago watching us play Evansville when he was the coach, and not to sound harsh, but he was grossly overweight. Hope he's healthier now. My wife's cousin played for him at SIUE before he went to Evansville. He loved Marty as a coachSent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk Quote
KzooHoosier82 Posted March 30, 2021 Posted March 30, 2021 USC looks lost and outclassed. Which is a problem for me because I didn’t have Gonzaga making the final four and the rest of my bracket challenge group does. Str8Hoosiers 1 Quote
kreigh8 Posted March 30, 2021 Posted March 30, 2021 I love watching the way Gonzaga plays. I hope Mike Woodson can bring this kind of offense to the IU squad next season. Phinisee and Lander should be taking notes from Suggs on how to play the PG position Quote

Uspshoosier Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 2 of the 4 final 4 teams have been set since day 1 of the college basketball season. These 2 teams were so far ahead of everyone else(maybe not Michigan with Livers) it was almost laughable. Quote
LIHoosier Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 At least our guys usually did a step-back behind the 3 pt line before launching an airball. Yikes. Quote

I watched that game just a few days ago. Marty couldn’t hit a FT. I had actually forgot about guys like Marty and Mike Giomi. Quote

Those guys move, cut and pass in a way that has to be continually cultivated. Normally freshman can’t integrate like Suggs has. He’s damn smart and skilled for a freshman. But yea... it’d be awesome if IU could get some semblance of that going. Quote

Just watch how quick they get the ball across the half court - I'm not asking to score 90 a game year 1, but surely they can stop walking the ball up the court and have a sense of urgency in getting into an offense or heaven forbid get out in transition. NOLA Hoosier Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 Gonzaga’s definitely gonna do it. Then maybe we can take down that godawful banner at AH. Quote
