With this starting lineup: Smith, Loyer, Heide, Kaufman, and Furst. I've learned not to underestimate Purdue lately because they always seem to exceed expectations, but I see a team that is in and out of the top 25 all season long. If that. They’ll get their crap pushed in the non con and be a middle of the road conference team. Taking nothing away from Painter, love the guy. They’ll improve over the year because he’s a great coach. But Ivey, Williams, or Edey ain’t walking through that door. That roster is a whole bunch of meh AKHoosier 1 Quote

That roster is a whole bunch of meh Definitely. The 2022-2023 season is still fresh in my mind though. They were expected to take a big step back after getting upset by St Peter's, and losing Ivey and Williams. They opened the next season unranked, but then catapulted to the top 5 after winning the Thanksgiving tournament in Oregon and haven't looked back since. Quote

woodenshoemanHoosierfan Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 I wonder if Purdoo fans wept themselves to sleep while blubbering, "IU... Sucks. I...U...su-u-u-cksss!!" I sure hope they did. And I hope they wake up still doing it.From a former Purdue player Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk cybergates 1 Quote
woodenshoemanHoosierfan Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 it's an odd place to criticize Purdue after they had a dominating year...but the critique most had of them was they were a giant surrounded by opportunistic mid players and that's exactly what they were last night. Most of their roster is average at best. They had a great year and sure whooped our butts....but at no point was I rooting for them lol. My B1G or Midwestern alliances do not include Purdue even though I like Painter and wish him personal success. My predictions for games are rarely correct, so I'll leave this here lolSent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk thebigweave, AKHoosier, Adillac and 1 other 3 1 Quote
woodenshoemanHoosierfan Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 Here is who Purdue currently has on scholarship for next year. Smith Loyer Catchings Kaufman-Renn Colvin Berg Heide Waddell Harris Cox Burgess Benter Jacobson Furst They are currently over signed by 1. I could see a couple guys transferring and them adding another piece from the portal. Doesn't look intimidating to meSent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk Quote

Home Jersey Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 Find it so enjoyable watching Turdoo fans pee themselves on Twitter as UConn fans flame their guards and say they're not even D1 level... their fans act so outraged as if they didn't just watch their entire team outside of Edey get totally shut down for 40 minutes. I may replay that title game just for kicks periodically throughout the offseason IH8PU, Kentuckysucks, sirhoosierlot and 4 others 5 2 Quote

His political maneuvering is even worse than his basketball Xs and Os. Shows a pretty huge ego, too, and definitely not very aware, as you say, to think that people would fight so hard to keep him that the AD would resign. Kentuckysucks 1 Quote
