SIAP, but Edey is actually gone right? I know he has said it, but doesn’t he technically have a year left?

He’s gone. Can’t get American NIL and they already retired his jersey for a reason.

Is it typical to retire the jersey of someone who never actually won anything?

Yes. If you haven’t won any big time banners you retire jerseys of anyone over 7 foot.

I am bias but I think Dan Hurley has a strong case for best CBB coach right now. Curious what they will be like next year, I assume what they are losing this year will be much tougher to replace than last year... but who knows

I don’t think it’s particularly close. Watched a ton of them this year, and was at MSG for their dismantling of us.
They play with a discipline I can’t remember seeing at the college level.

36:9 AST:TO ratio in the last two games is just insane. Elite offensive sets

He can’t get NIL. I didn’t know that. Thank you for letting me know.

I don't think it's particularly close. ESPN is projecting them as #4 next season without projecting them to have a single returning starter.

Good for Fletcher Loyer. Prominently featured in One Shining Moment. As long as he can make sure his grandchildren never see tape of the championship game he’ll be quite the family hero.

I've managed to ignore a good deal of Purdue social media noise the last few weeks, but something that caught my eye today was that Lafayette schools are having a 2 hour delay tomorrow so kids could stay up late to watch this game.

I wonder how many kids will stay home? I was still in school when Illinois made it to the final game, and knew an Illinois fan who was a no-show the next day.

Great season by the pu fighting Edey’s but this game shows the gap between the Big Ten and the elites of college basketball. The skill level between the teams was marginal but the athleticism was night and day.
