I'm no U of L know it all, but it appears he has brought nothing but negative press for the university, especially if they vacate the national championship. Just look at the guy ... Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Ultimately that might be Indiana's crux to return to the prominence of college ball. Too many play in the gray area or just outright cheat to get recruits. If Indiana isn't on the same level playing field its results will be less (on the average).I'm hoping we can have Sean Miller like recruiting success here at Indiana. If we do, we will be in the conversation on a regular basis. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners VO5 and BGleas 2 Quote

HoosierAloha Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Pitino knows the weight of his assistants but had zero knowledge of anything shading going on? I don't buy that. He might not have known exactly what was going on but he had some idea. IUsafety and theriverpilot 2 Quote

MoyeNeeded Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Angry fans are calling for Pitinos job. That could really help us. Not as many as you would think! Most fans attitudes down here are 'How dare you!'. So the ignorance of the fanbase. They assume that they will win the appeal because it's only a matter of impermissible benefits. The issue is 'what' the benefits were. They can't seem to comprehend how repugnant the charges.Sent from my SM-G930P using BtownBanners mobile app WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
MoyeNeeded Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 ESPN is the only outlet reporting additional scholarship bans. I can't find that wording in any other article, but most of them reference the scholarship bans from the self-imposed sanctions. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2715863-rick-pitino-suspended-5-games-louisville-on-probation-for-prostitute-scandalSent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appFour over 4 yrs. MoyeNeeded Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 The NCAA should not be the Morality police.... the press conference she stated it wasn't about the money but the acts and how dirty it was.... That is out of their scope in my opinion. The punishment for that part is Bad press, people always being able to hold that against them etc... I don't believe the NCAA has any right to use those specifics in its judgement or its case...Seven kids under the age of 18yrs basically chided and forced into participating. That's a legality issue. And yes maybe they should be judging morality issues. What would you want done if your son or daughter was put into this situation. I do find it hard to believe Slick Rick had no knowledge of any of it. Especially after the findings that at least one other asst coach knew based on what 2 recruits reported.Sent from my SM-G930P using BtownBanners mobile app HoosierAloha and woodenshoemanHoosierfan 2 Quote
