TheWatShot Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Remember how excited Illinois fans were when they hired Groce? I think the bloom is off the rose now. Wouldn't be surprised if they're shopping for a new coach in a year or so. Quote

schoosier Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Bama has some talent and Grant did really well at VCU. I think they should have given him more time at a historically underperforming bball school. It seems the AD and Grant came to an agreeable misuderstanding. He will land on his feet, and this version of Bama looks pretty good. It sure seems like they have someone else in mind. Quote

At Purdue, 59% of the undergrads are men. That’s what a quarter-century of Gene Keady’s comb-over will do to a university’s gender ratio." 4 burns in one Hovadipo, brtjohns, ALASKA HOOSIER and 8 others 11 Quote
KelleyHoosh Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Slightly off topic, but this Notre Dame team is playing some good defense this year. I really think they have a run in them. Having followed the ND program for a bit and them being a football school, people either didn't care or thought Brey should be fired. But I feel like this season in particular speaks to the fact that coaches can change and improve, even after 15 years at the same school. He's changed a lot over the years and recruited a lot better recently. I also think he's adopting a strategy that's almost the opposite of Kentucky's where they are solid every year but every four years or so with the right upperclassmen can go on a deep run. And he graduates his players. Personally I'm rooting for ND to start a trend of going on deeper runs in the tourney. They do things the right way Alford Bailey, Hoosier Roots and IUsafety 3 Quote

HoosierRob Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Penn State gives Pat Chambers 2 year extensionthats kind of questionable.. I know it's penny state but.. They are losing newbill.. He's everything to them.. They haven't sniffed the ncaas since he's been there..not saying he's a bad coach.. But 2 year extension? Just my opinion Quote
