Popular Post HoosierMoore Posted September 19, 2017 Popular Post Posted September 19, 2017 My wife with CWAT outside Harry & Izzy's. Brendan and his Mom laughed when I passed by and said he would look good in Candy Stripes. Totally pushed him over the edge. Should commit any second. Bailey7878 Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Pretty much all player development under Crean was due to the player. The list of players who did not develop under Crean is much, much longer.Except crean loved to take credit for the development. Lol.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Iugradman 1 Quote

MikeRoberts Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 How does one get implicated in a massive FBI sting and still have 5* recruits interested in your program?Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app thebigweave, Class of '66 Old Fart and Iugradman 3 Quote

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app I've wondered that too. Only thing I've come up with is that if a kid or family are willing to take the money, obviously they believe it's deserved. So if some school or shoe company gets busted for pay offs, then that sort of family doesn't view them as felons. They view them as Robin Hood righting some grave injustice. Hell, maybe it actually improves their view of that particular school. Not suggesting that about Watford specifically, just been chewing on that a little. WayneFleekHoosier and Uspshoosier 2 Quote

ALASKA HOOSIER Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 5-star forward Trendon Watford talks weekend visit to Alabama hoops Updated on October 2, 2017 at 11:04 AMPosted on October 2, 2017 at 9:43 AM Gallery: Trendon Watford: Mountain Brook basketball player By Josh Bean jbean@al.com Trendon Watford - a 5-star small forward ranked among the nation's top 20 basketball prospects in the Class of 2019 - made an unofficial weekend visit to Alabama over the weekend. The 6-foot-8 junior at Mountain Brook left impressed after watching the Crimson Tide's basketball practice. "It's a new atmosphere for basketball," Watford said. Alabama basketball enters the 2017-18 season brimming with optimism, thanks to the arrival of the school's best-ever recruiting class that includes 2-time Alabama Mr. Basketball John Petty and point guard Collin Sexton. Watford's visit was also his first since federal prosecutors arrested several college basketball assistant coaches, including Auburn's Chuck Person, in a wide-ranging corruption scandal. Alabama basketball administrator Kobie Baker also resigned after federal documents reveal he's accused of taking money from a financial advisor in return for pushing players to become advisor's clients. Watford said the Person scandal is "not a big impact" on his recruitment. Watford is ranked 13th nationally in the Class of 2019, according to 247sports, and he's one of just 23 5-star players. Alabama's fans - known for their boisterous support of the football team - made a big impression on Watford, who has visited Alabama unofficially in the past. "The fans, you see some crazy fans for football," he said. "It was just a crazy atmosphere the whole days. It's a great environment ... just need to bring it to the basketball side." Watford holds offers from some of the nation's traditional powers, including Kentucky, Kansas and Indiana, as well as Alabama and Auburn. He said LSU, Mississippi State and Florida State have been recruiting hard lately. He visited Indiana - where his older brother, Christian played - last month on an unofficial visit. Watford, though, stressed that he's still early in the recruiting process and gave no indication that he'll make a college decision any time soon. "I'm not trying to rank any schools above anybody yet," he said. What did Watford see at Bama's practice? "They looked pretty good, honesty," he said. Quote
