RoadRage Posted Sunday at 12:54 PM Posted Sunday at 12:54 PM I personally don't like going the Euro route but is it time to hire someone on our staff with Euro connections and try to bring in some bigs that can rebound? Quote

Asha’man Posted Sunday at 04:58 PM Posted Sunday at 04:58 PM I’m hopefully DeVries can take a similar trajectory as Todd Golden at Florida. Golden had a losing record in year 1. Year 2 was 24-12. Year 3 was a national title and they are rolling in year 4. JF87, FortWayneHoosier, RoadRage and 2 others 5 Quote
Jeff Flabjohns Posted Sunday at 07:23 PM Posted Sunday at 07:23 PM Channeling USPS here but I’d take back-to-back winning conference records. That’d be remarkable Uspshoosier, Ryno6284 and BGleas 3 Quote

IU5355 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Devries had some nice Drake teams that played really pretty basketball. But he's doing an @ss job here so far. Muskie plays the four 1 Quote
Home Jersey Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I think this season gets a flat D in my book solely because we did beat Purdue at home. The recruiting class I'd give a B. Weight the season more heavily than the recruiting class... overall I'd give the start of the DDV era a D+ maybe C- if I'm generous. We need to hit some home runs in the portal. Next year should be much better. We spent poorly on the roster and the coaching cost us a few games IMO. Hopefully a lot of learnings have already been getting applied behind the scenes in the portal. And hopefully there's a lot of reflection and constructive feedback for DDV to take with next year's team. This season was a little better than the last 2 Woodson years for me, but not by much, and mainly just because DDV isn't an arrogant dipshit like Woody BannerVille, Muskie plays the four, HoosierDevils and 4 others 7 Quote
Unexpectedflash Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago We are going to finish with a worse record and the same kenpom or worse as last year and Mike didn’t even know the names of half the players Muskie plays the four 1 Quote

Jeff Flabjohns Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago When Devries is let go after four years with one bubble tourney invite I’ll remember this last month as the first real coaching red flag. Something just feels off. They lack size and talent to compete at the top, sure. But this team beat Purdue, Wisco, UCLA. What we’ve watched this last month has to be laid at the feet of this staff. sirhoosierlot, Deserthoozier and IU Prof 3 Quote
Home Jersey Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Very disappointing for Lamar Wilkerson to not go dancing. And at the hands of ****ing northwestern. Ugh. Quote

These guys gave up and Collins ate DDv lunch twice. This is the problem. He's not even coaching that well. So even if we excuse the roster construction, which is hard to entirely do with the sheer number of evaluation misses, we've got this coaching concern. And a player dev concern too -- there was very little of that this year, which I hate. I'm just not seeing it. There is so much to fix and so little progress made in a year. On the bright side football practice starts in two weeks. Home Jersey, hoopsta007, Happydaze and 2 others 4 1 Quote

Alford Bailey Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago This gonna be close to a complete rebuild this offseason. We will know by May how this is gonna end. Quote
Unexpectedflash Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I think he needs to make some changes to the offense. It’s very stagnant. I like we take 3s but a lot of them are heaves with the shot clock going down. Our offensive numbers look ok since we beat up on terrible teams when Lamar got hot but against any team with a pulse we looked terrible. I know it’s easy to point to a lack of creators as the reason but last year Devries WVU team was in the 130s with an NBA pg in Javon small FWHoosier84 and BannerVille 2 Quote

But people can’t even admit he flat out sucked as a coach this year. But don’t worry. I’m an optimist. He’s gonna be an Underwood/Golden/Hurley. They sucked in year 1 too right? Deserthoozier 1 Quote
