Popular Post Pagoda Posted November 30, 2025 Popular Post Posted November 30, 2025 We've been eyeing this potential game for weeks. And now it is set. The lines are out and right now IU is generally around +5.5. This will be a very hard game, but if we can win at Autzen, we can win this one. Go IU! Jeff Flabjohns Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 Deleted my thread, this one’s better Wish I’d bought tickets a few weeks ago. I’ll wait until Friday/Sat to potentially snag something last second but demand is gonna be sky high. For the game: we need to make Sayin uncomfortable. Michigan wasn’t able to…OSU staff had him throwing mostly quick outs Quote

This is a mega huge game, but we're in the playoff and the playoff is even bigger. - Get some pressure on Sayin, which would be the first he has had all year. Ponds should hopefully do okay vs. Jeremiah, he did pretty well against him last year. There is no stopping him we just need to contain him. The rest of our secondary needs to play well and avoid some of the blown coverages we've had all season. Any screw up will be a TD. - Offensively we know we've got pop in the bat. Everything is obvious -- OL needs to play like they did at Oregon, our WRs need to get separation, and Fernando has to have a great game. UM had some success on the ground so hopefully we can too. It's a really hard game, but we've got a well-rounded team that gives us a chance. J34, MemphisHoosier, Stuhoo and 2 others 5 Quote

Now that the UM game is over, it feels like the Eye of Sauron is now focused on us and Mordor's Orc army is heading our way. They're in the comments, they're registering on our boards, and they'll be annoying when they're in town. Their mix of arrogance and sensitivity is uniquely awful. The only way out is to find a way to win. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote

Magnanimous Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 I know we’re now “that team” when I watch the rest of the country play. For the first time ever you can see how much better and more balanced we are than the standard college football team, including many brand name programs. We have size up front that, when combined with our play calling and ball IQ, rivals any top pass rush in the country. Our DBs actually pick the ball off and team tackle. Our offense knows which play to make given the situation. We can run over anyone. We have an elite tandem at WR, like OSU, plus another 3 deep with Riley, Becker and Williams. Our QB is poised, elite, and can run. Our coach is a football maven. Our special teams are efficient. OSU really hasn’t played a team like us. They’re rightfully 1a heading into the game, while we’re 1b, but it’s truly a toss up. This isn’t a “if we win it will be close/if they win it could get ugly” type of game. I truly believe that we can win and win by more than one score. I feel more confident going into this game than @Oregon. My biggest concern is the health of our o-line and if we can be balanced in our pass blocking. But we’re also indoors, at home, and you can tell that our team is excited at this opportunity and will not play scared for one minute. Hoosierfan2017, Pagoda, LockdownD and 4 others 7 Quote

Demo Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 BTN just flashed a stat that OSU is only +5 in turnover margin. That seems kind of wild, doesn’t it? I know Sayin doesn’t turn it over, so does their vaunted defense just not turn people over? So they’re only giving up 8 pts a game by basically strangling teams and just not giving up yardage at all? Huh Quote
Gahoosierfan Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 I think the key to this game will be mistakes. The team that turns the ball over and has too many penalties will be the loser. It is important to start quickly and not wait till the second quarter to get going. jmsgws and MemphisHoosier 2 Quote

The entitled demeanor of the buck-teeth punks here in Ohio makes me cringe. What is special, though, is the non-Ohioans cheering for anyone to beat the teeth out of these guys. The game is on the trenches. That is the biggest challenge. And I just don't know which line on which play will have the upper hand. Mendoza absolutely has to be protected and allowed time. Ths. The IU coaches have got to outcoach the dark side. Keep OSU guessing. Make it so. Pagoda and OliviaPope40 2 Quote

It’s all brand name and familiarity for the talking heads. Ohio State’s schedule this year is comparable to ours last year. No one is criticizing them for not having played any real completion (sans maybe Texas, who was a mess at the start of the season). And if OSU won @Oregon this year they’d be ranked #1 and there would be no team ranked 2nd. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 One big plus for us IMO is that we have a 2-headed attack. Shut down Mendoza and we can run it down your throat. Focus on stopping our running game and we can unleash Fernando Heismendoza. J34, southsidehoosier, MemphisHoosier and 2 others 5 Quote
