Eh, I'm not sure I hate Lanning's answer that much. Sure he could been less unctuous, but every coach is gonna say "on to the next". He took the blame for the loss and complimented IU.

Even the (formerly) great Belichick said "We're on to Cincinnati".

I mean now he's on to Jordon. But I digress..

Additionally, I read that the guy that asked that question is notorious for prodding and trying to get a rise out of coaches. Which apparently works…

Does anyone in the country other than Joel Klat like Big Noon? The IU/UCLA game isn’t a big game, so it’s not a big deal, but I wish Bin Noon would go away.

Hey, FOX paid the B1G a crap ton to have Meat Chicken/theO$U every year. They got to fill the other 12-13 weeks somehow.

Fox seems to think it’s the best time slot to avoid competition for night games, I think that ignores that nothing lends itself to a better atmosphere than a night game.

Would love for Fox to stop the Big Noon nonsense but I think they want to avoid head to head collisions with high profile SEC games.

I like Big Noon every once in a while.  We get the show, which is going to be a two hour advertisement for IUFB and IU broadcast on network TV for two hours.  Great exposure.

Also, the fans like the show being there in the morning, especially the students.

This is all good in my book for an IU-UCLA match-up.

Yeah, I got annoyed playing at noon seemingly every week last year, but I’m ready for a nooner. Even more excited that it’s at home so I don’t have to listen to Gus.

What’s your beef with Gus! Him and Joe Klatt are my two favorites.

Joe Klatt’s show is a daily listen for me. He covers CFB better than anyone. Urban Meyer is a good contributor on FBNK.

admittedly nervous to play UCLA

Love Joel. Gus is lame. Hate his nicknames, his incessant screaming, his love for OSU, his general disinterest in Indiana, and if you really listen he’s clueless about what’s happening on the field.

All that I can understand, but I still like him because he has a personality during broadcast. It feels like 95% of the announcers are talking suits. We are blessed to have Don Fischer, a great announcer and personality.

Good broadcasters are definitely hard to find. Don and Buck are a treat for the blowouts when I get a head start on the long drive home. Listening to Buck laugh like a lunatic as we kept scoring on Purdue last year is a core memory.
