I’d don’t think he is some villain but this narrative that IU was the bad guy here is silly. IU hired him after he cheated at OU and then he cheated again. Didn’t make him a villain. Does make him a two time caught cheater. He did his time and it’s over. I don’t have any ill will towards him but I also don’t blame IU. So let’s get a great staff and get IU to where we want to be. str8baller Posted April 8 Posted April 8 9 hours ago, MikeRoberts said: He was interviewed the other day, talked about his decision to come back to college after 5 years in the nba. He said he had a lot of interest but wanted to be at a school where he could trust the leadership and know they had his back. That sounds like something dumb enough to be said by Kelvin Sampson. IU trusted Sampson to do something very simple : abide by the very plainly stated terms of his contract which included not violating the probation he was on. But he was such a small-time nervous loser he couldn’t even be trusted to do that. Kind of like how his players can’t trust him to draw up a coherent offensive play at the end of a big game. I wouldn’t trust Kelvin Sampson’s opinion in matters of trust. I do trust CDD to do something very simple and bring in assistants who can do the same. J34, Mopladysman and Dave from Dayton 1 2 Quote

Those players were awful for the program. I mean really bad. His testing was the equivalent of tax evasion for Capone. They were right to move on. He ****ed it up for the rest of us, not the other way around. Mopladysman, Eagle’s Rug and woodenshoemanHoosierfan 1 1 1 Quote

If we offer $800k are they getting an equal match or enough of a match to stay put? I suspect the latter but if not, then we may be underestimating how much $ we have compared to others. May have to shop the scrap heap for coaches out of work. AkronHoosier 1 Quote

I think they're getting matched our a raise, but not 100% sure on that. Quote
