I've seen more than one place that Dolson had been in conversations with DeVries for over a month. I don't believe this was a spur-of-the-moment hiring but rather one of fortuitous timing thanks to both teams getting snubbed by the selection committee.

First major step is win the off season! Win the transfer portal fatal with winners. If that don't work hopefully he stacks the deck with his guys whi are winners. Next season will tell us alot. I am looking at big 10 contender first year sweet 16 bottom. No rebuild at all and no 4 years 2 max

Hansberry, Harris, Powell possibly. Maybe a few of his recruits in '25. I'm interested to see how him leaving is perceived with the returning WVU players. Saw his point guard Javon Small post something. He doesn't have any eligibility left but can tell he isn't happy based on that. Which is understandable.

You know I respect you as a poster and guy with connections.

Nothing about my post said anything about meeting with Brad once early.

I don't doubt you guys were hearing that from some people. Don't think Dolson would scramble that quickly, JMO. 

Still, with the mounting smoke from national media about DeVries or McCollum, to insist it will be Stevens then be proven incorrect literally moments later... like why in the first place would they insist on that? No reservations that the info may be off? Sit on it maybe...

You've been intentional throughout the search that you weren't guaranteeing anything. Then the last few days you seem to take it personally that some people don't think Brad was realistically coming. I don't want to argue with you man, lol.

I can't love this hire enough. I watched WVU a few times this year and this guy is intense. He really gets after it with his players, high energy guy on the sidelines. 

So excited to follow this program again now that we have a college basketball coach who puts in the work to recruit.

Let's purge our roster, get a coaching staff in place, and build through the portal.
