Chris Beard - Coaching Candidate

Zero tolerance was Satan himself Myles Brands way of ousting Knight for BS grabbing that punks arm. But most importantly, moving Satan to his most cherished position and deservingly so, President of NCAA. He started the curse!
Zero tolerance was his way of not pissing off the fanbase but setting knight up for failure. I was honestly fine with knight being fired before zero tolerance. I was ready to move on anyway at that point. I think many people can change but knight was one who never could have

The guys at peegs are saying that they've heard that IU's stance on Facial Hair is softening and he might have a legitimate chance at being a real candidate. It started a storm on this site (and others). I personally agree with you that I just don't see it having a chance of happening for the reasons you state if the administration themselves are willing to disregard his past, which I certainly hope they aren't.

In that same discussion, the peegs guys also said their information is 2nd and 3rd hand and only a very small group of people know what's actually going on in the search. They aren't part of that group.

If the process is still adding possible candidates to the list then they're either horrifically underprepared (not likely) or they're striking out on a lot of candidates before him (also not likely).

I think its 'soft chatter', so soft it's nearly inaudible.

Closer to Mike Davis than Bob Knight. Couldn’t sum up his career more perfectly.

In some ways I'd almost like to see this. The holier than thou attitude I see from some folks could use a few more years of Woodson.

Don't think of it as adding candidates to the list. The process was to identify data that points to program success and winning. From that, a rather large list of candidates is generated. Then they narrow the list. The smart way to do that is a blind pool, where you don't automatically rule out anyone. Then if the data analysis produces three very similar candidates, but one has character questions, then you eliminate them.

Hearing some Bloomington talk this could be real. But again, no one knows. Small to mid level donors.

I'd love Beard but if he's being seriously considered to me it means we have struck out on the top targets and it's down to Beard, mid major guys, or someone like Brownell.

I can only see it if the administration feels it has no other choice.

Just a donor who thinks he’s a top candidate.  But he’s a lower level donor.  Connected to the Hysterics so it might be more of the same

Beard is definitely a candidate. I think there’s also a candidate that nobody has any idea about. Have no idea who that is…but I think he would be very good. Just a hunch
