I have to admit this was just demoralizing. I am not tank train person. I want these guys to succeed but this was hard to watch. These guys are so terrible at so many things we are lucky they have even won a game. This absolutely had to stop soon. Like before ohio state soon

I forgot the game was on since I don't have Pea-cock. Picked up my phone and saw the score and was glad I forgot. We are at the point in basketball that the football team was. Can't go forward with this coach or staff. A complete rebuild is in order and CCC has proven it can be done. Now it's up to AD Dolson and President Whitten to make it happen. And I think they will.

This is not shocking, and it’s utterly ridiculous that it’s allowed to slide. Make this man face the music. I was okay with him getting the “retirement” shindig, but, alas, no more! Fire him off into the sun. He is a disgrace to the Indiana Men’s Basketball Head Coach title.

The man deserves hellfire and brimstone... full scorched earth. Arrogant, lazy, entitled.Pack your bangs, Mike, you're outta here.

How so? Dolson can negotiate it down for a lump sum payout... or stretch the payout at $1M/year instead of a big hit to the budget.

What I meant was Woody gets his money regardless.

Saw a reference to Calbert  being more loyal to Woodson than he is to the university... true? How did that happen? Calbert isn't stupid...
Because if you aren't loyal to the king like fife or Matta you get shown the door.

I believe he is contractually obligated to do post game.  Could he be fired with cause for this and not have to pay him?  Any lawyers in the chat know?

I'm sure it's contractual... as it the weekly radio show that he's been blowing off of late.

You’d have to go back and look at the contract from when he got hired. Osterman usually has the details in the Star…but (I believe) for accounting purposes, a lot of coaching contracts have a small chunk paid for the coaching job itself and a large portion of money paid is for outside activities like the radio show, media appearances, etc.

I find it hard to believe he’s blowing all of this off and the department is just letting it happen. This thing is over and everyone is cutting their losses at this point imo.

Don’t really feel like that will be a problem anyone has to face

What the he'll does this even mean? The fans are booing your **** effort and terrible basketball! So if infact you turn it around and actually play good your own fans can't cheer for you? Should say the way we have played is unacceptable and we understand why they are booing and we are going to work hard to get better to meet the expectations!

I'd be laughing my @$$ off if an opposing player ever said this. Spoken like a true college kid who's never had to face any real adversity in life.

We so desperately need a different breed of player.

Buddy, if you get this thing turned around I’ll boo you for saving Woodsons job.

I feel bad for him, actually. He plays hard and playing at IU was his dream and this was the only way. But there’s not a lot of runway left for a happy ending
