#5 IUFB @ #2 Ohio State - 11/23/24 at Noon on FOX

Recommended Posts

Biggest game in IUFB history. Why? Because it’s the next one. (And because it’s a top 5 matchup with a 99.999999% guaranteed CFP berth on the line, but mostly because it’s the next one)

Hoosiers are 13.5 point dogs at FanDuel as of this evening.

I haven't been this nervous since:

A) I popped the question;

B) the doctor put those gloves on and smiled at me;

C) we approached test depth after overhaul in the submarine;

D) I got stuck crawling through a tight spot in Blue Springs Cave;

E) My fifteen-year old daughter was outside the subway doors when they closed in Paris.

Actually, I'm not nervous at all.  My nerves are shot.

I understand why one would think that getting stuck in a cave might be scary.  Believe it or not...when we did that crawl from the two-level part of the cave and through the really tight and small tube, we had deflated innertubes slung on our shoulders and that got me stuck.  We planned to get to the underground river and inflate them and float to the sink that went up...Coglazers (now the entrance to the tourist boat float in the cave).  It was anticipated that we might get hung up.  Had my helmet off and pushed it in front of my skimmy.  Couldn't lower my arms.  Just pushed with wrists, feet back the way I came.  Took off the tube.  Redid it.

The worst was the subway closing.  I'm communicating through the door to stay there.My better half kicked the door.  It opened.  Grabbed the youngin.   Holy creapola.

PS.  The doctor and I are really good buddies.  Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.  Not.

No doubt. I never look forward to the Dr. Jellyfinger exam. When I complain about it my explains the PAP smear procedure and I quit talking.

I talked with Jared Myatt (assistant strength and conditioning coach) Friday evening and he said the Michigan front 7 was the toughest front 7 that they had faced all season.  They (a majority of the coaching staff) believe that the Ohio St front 7 is similar to the Michigan front 7.  He personally was glad that they faced a team like Michigan the game before Ohio St because it was a great test(especially from a physicality standpoint) going into the Ohio St game.
