Also these two:

  • Ranked and in the CFP discussion at one point during the season
  • Bowl eligibility earned by November

Yeah I already covered that in previous posts.  They also broke offensive records as well. Only two left on my list.

This is worth watching, especially starting at the two minute mark.

TyShawn Lawton is an older veteran player who plays it cool when he’s first asked about the effect of the crowd today. And then ….

Every one of these players I listen to in interviews I come away impressed with. They all seem to carry the same message, which is coach's, with a level headed-ness. Freaking love this entire program right now.

I expect a losing season and the HC to be fired.  He was a poor hire.

And there were some here that thought he'd be a good hire for us. I was not one of them. Thankfully, SD found someone else.

We haven’t had a postgame win expectancy below 99.3% this season. Only Army edges us out with a lowest of 99.6%, (and no one else outside of Navy is particularly close) BUT we have 4 games with a 100% win expectancy to Army’s 3.

Damn. Time to go Tayven! Get healthy Kurtis!

Unfortunately we all know that injuries, however small, are part of the game.  Good teams fight through adversity and I expect this team will do just that.  Coach Cignetti and his staff will have the team ready for UW, I have no doubt whatsoever.  Go Hoosiers!

IU is blessed to have T. Jackson as a QB.  First and or the biggest situation facing the football team this year.  I think T. Jackson and teammates will pass this test with flying colors.  Jackson will be a pleasant surprise that in reality won’t be a surprise at all …Jackson was excellent at Center Grove High School a 4 star per ESPN and had offers from most major power 5 programs including some blue chip schools.

Plus IU has really good well coached players on the whole team.  IU is a really good team.

Plus…Both, Jackson brothers are really good people.

Bummer-Rourke is so steady and makes very good decisions.

However, TJ is Uber talented and I have faith in him.

Home game against Washington should be manageable.

We are very lucky to have a backup that was capable enough to lead the team to 28 second half points. It was GREAT to see that the staff trusts Jackson enough to have him come out passing rather than having him just hand-off the ball to protect the lead.

That being said if the Washington game gets really tight we will miss KR’s experience, the fact that he is seemingly unflappable and his near-perfect decision making.  Not a shot at TJ but just an acknowledgment that KR is extremely experienced/skilled.

I think Rourke missing game(s) will be a serious problem. I really like TJ and actually thought he was better choice to start the year. However, CR has completely changed my mind and a big part of our offensive success has been his decision making in the RPO game. Can Tayven consistently make the right choices and make them as quickly as Rourke? I sure hope so but I do worry about that.

Not worried at all about Tayven. I’m not sure I could possibly have more faith in this staff to set him up for success and frankly I’m not so sure the gameplan would be much different if Rourke was in.

Hope you're right. He looked good yesterday but he also had remarkable field position and was spotted a 21 pt lead when he came in.
