I do hope everyone realizes and accepts that this increases game-to-game variance somewhat , though you can mitigate if by ORebs, defense, still being capable of getting to the rim and the line. I can just foresee losing a close road game by 2 while shooting 10/35 from 3 and some folks being grumpy that we “took too many 3s” like a week after we beat a top ten team because we shot 18/38 from 3. Couldn't stand when people would complain about that with Crean's teams lillurk and Juwan Moye 2 Quote

Like you stated, that is why they need to be good OReb team to mitigate those bad shooting nights. Hopefully, with so many shooters, there will be one or 2 that are hitting when a couple of others have an "off night". So far, it looks like he is putting a team together that will work hard which is what IU fans will appreciate. lillurk 1 Quote

Zeller was just that good. Same for TJD. Same for DJ white. Same for Jeffries. Some dudes are that good and worth it. This roster does have that. I don’t think DDV really emphasizes that if I remember correctly Quote

At the same time, high offensive rebounding numbers(per game) means you're missing a lot. A high FG% mixed with a high OFF Reb% is ideal. jermhoosierfan 1 Quote

It shouldn’t increase your variance much if you can do all the other things you mentioned and win multiple ways. Otherwise it’s a sub-optimal strategy in a sport that comes down to one single elimination tournament. (I’m ultimately fine with whatever CDD does next year, in that regard, because nobody is or should be expecting him to be making a deep tourney run in year 1). Home Jersey 1 Quote

Unless Wilkerson and DeVries become catch and shoot guys, that's a lot of high usage players on the court at once. RaceToTheTop 1 Quote
