DD’s son followed him but none of his players or 4 star recruits. Why?
That gives me slight “pause”. Again, it only takes a few more signees, which will happen, to probably make the angst go away.

The reason it doesn't give me pause is that he was only there a year and brought them on board before the season. It's not like he had years at WV to instill his culture and have any kind of loyalty with his players. They were 1 year rentals for him....

Exactly. Also, he may not have wanted any, thinking he has the chance to upgrade.

I’m a DeVries fan.  I’ve made it very clear since he was hired. But people can express their opinions…and if they’re concerned. Who cares? They have the right to be. IUBB hasn’t necessarily given anyone confidence the last 20 years. You’re welcome to, but it’s really not necessary to remark on every comment that expresses concern or frustration.

Burn it down?

Nah. Ride out another half hearted attempt at returning to blue blood status. See if we can blue collar our way back to respectability. We as fans treat the program in a way to make it a top 5 Valuable program while we get top 50-75 results out of it. We should boycott until we have a program to be proud of (won’t happen-we are the Cubs of college basketball). DeVries can get us there but either way the University rakes in money hand over fist while underdelivering.

 

Coaches seem to have eye opening experiences when they become our coach. This has all the feels of a more passionate Archie tenure. But it can’t be that bad, can it?

And if you can’t understand why Tucker isn’t being touted as a recruiting win then idk what to tell you. He’s a great player, but it’s not like DD went head to head against the top dogs to land him.

He clearly missed on his assistant targets. Now he’s clearly missing on his lead targets in the portal.

There are plenty of red flags early.

I am a little worried with the assistants getting the vision/pitch and passing.  It’s still too early to tell on the players.  

For me these are yellow flags (that’s a caution flag for those that don’t watch racing).  Not really the level of red flags yet.

CDD’s pressers/interviews, hires, and slowish start on the roster have not gave me the warm and fuzzies… but what do I know?  It is still early.  This is just a random opinion if people aren’t worried that’s cool too.

Exactly!!!! He is a very particular coach who wants a certain roster and is building a program not a singular team. The same people that are complaining about us not getting anyone would also complain if we got grant gelon type players

Any insiders hearing anything on the Wilkerson visit? I saw a couple UK twitter clowns saying he was texting UK players while on his visit bit I'm confident they're full of ****. Surprised we're not hearing anything on our side yet.
