According to both the Iowa article you referenced and 247 he’d had a WVU offer under DeVries. So certainly seems likely.

Listed as a 3* right? Is that stale or does he offer something beyond his ranking.

Could be filling out pretty much a whole roster so you'll need guys like this -- looks like a guy who can contribute down the road if not immediately.

Good find. What does he project to play at the next level? 6'8" is too probably too small for the 5 at IU. Is he quick enough and have the outside game for a modern 4?

I’ll need to look at some games from this year. Watched a couple of his games as a Soph after he took an unofficial to Bloomington. At that time he was pretty much a traits guy. He was long. He could really run and change direction. He was super quick off his feet, maybe his best trait at that point. He had a little jump hook but otherwise there wasn’t much to his offense other than finishing. Played with pretty good effort for a kid.

Word is he'll announce his decommitment from Iowa on Monday.  Attucks played in a 3A semistate game earlier today and defeated Princeton 62-55.  Briscoe unofficially with 13 points, 14 rebounds, 9 blocks.  Attucks vs. New Palestine tonight for the right to advance to the state finals next weekend.

“ offered by Iowa in March of 2023, since then he had received intrest from other Division I programs including Butler, Cincinnati, DePaul, Nevada and West Virginia“

well there was initial interest apparently, so mayyyybeee.

passing on he and Singleton might be the exact type of mistakes we've made for 25 yrs...

Singleton especially... he's very skilled.

Probably hear names starting Monday.

I wouldn’t be surprised if more players stay than the fanbase thinks. The players are making good money here and there was a lot of talent that underachieved. DDV could be thinking he could work with many of the players.

The possibilities are Cupps, Newton, Goode, Mgbako, Tucker, Rice, Carlyle, Reneau.

Most likely? Goode will try to get eligible.

After that? Tucker, Rice, Newton are the only ones I could see as possiblities. I could also easily see solely Goode.

Would love to see B Tucker return.

Tony Adragna brought up on the crimson cast podcast he doesn’t see how Goode gets another year. Galan said it’s bc of fear of being sued by the NCAA. Will be interesting to see what happens.

A unique dynamic this year to keep in mind is the House Settlement (rev share with players) seems likely to get final approval and potentially go into effect on April 7th.  Schools probably want to get players' NIL deals done before that.

The reason is the House Settlement will likely include some version of a "Clearinghouse" for NIL deals -- basically some accounting firm determines if NIL deals are fair market value.

I doubt the Clearinghouse will have much teeth, I can't imagine it going over well if they tell some kid (some of whom are not well off) they can't make $2M NIL but only $1M NIL... schools/players will hit the courts (labor laws won't like this) and state legislatures will get involved.  Regardless, NIL deals done before April 7th are to my understanding free and clear from any sort of Clearinghouse review, and schools will want to avoid the Clearinghouse.

Given this dynamic, the we could see a lot of portal activity happening over the next two weeks before April 7th rolls around.

Some of the who stays who goes could end up being if they're being asked to take too big of a pay cut to stay.

This.  We’ve all heard stories of the frivolous, above market NIL deals Woodson and staff have established, I full expect DDV to reset this approach and I’m not sure it goes over well.

Amir Khan has announced he's following Will Wade to North Carolina State as a graduate assistant manager.

We are now in the day where student managers get recruited.

Another year of that dork? I hope NC State misses the tournament next year so we don't have to go through this again.
