If that’s true about Dolson, it pretty much confirms everything us plebes think about the program. If the important people are shocked at empty seats they truly don’t deserve the fan base. Sooner or later, even *gasp* Indiana fans are going to stop watching bad basketball. The hubris and entitlement around our program is absurd. We are not inevitable. Sell outs are not assured. Fam support can wane. The basketball program has been profiting off of RMK for 50 years. It will end, even if slowly and painfully. This is just another step in that direction.

You're interviewing for a top job in College Basketball with zero college experience.  Have a little bit of humility, understand you're probably a long shot, and you need to sell your vision of the program and college ball in general.  Thank them for the opportunity to interview and share your thoughts and hope for the best.  Instead we get the "you want to talk to Mike Woodson, you come see Mike Woodson" arrogance -- and his feelings get hurt. 

He better be a freaking magician.  Otherwise, next year is going to ruin his legacy.

Scotty, you're misinterpreting what they're saying which is why you think they're "wrong." I've never seen Chris or Jerry post about something and not be very clear about what's possible or COULD happen (educated guess) vs what they know for a fact WOULD happen.

They do not come to these boards saying they know for a fact what the outcome of something like all this smoke will be. They just offer a set of possibilities based on what they're hearing. Sharing a perspective that's based on something other than what you can get from watching on TV.

If you choose not to believe it you're certainly entitled not to. But nobody likes a ball buster and I'd hope at your age you'd understand that by now

Dolson made the news official with three guaranteed basketball games left. That tells the fan base he’s okay finishing 16-16 with all the resources that the program has.

All of them need to go. Bring in an offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator, and a current successful recruiter/ scout. Right now they have three unsuccessful recruiters with horrible eyes for talent

People have negative views of Mike Woodson because he's bad at coaching basketball.

Fans are choosing not to attend games because this team is not enjoyable to watch.

Anyone involved with hiring a 63 year-old coach who won 46% of his games over a decade ago isn't qualified to run a lemonade stand.

What really pisses me off is the terrible reason for keeping him. "We gave the previous s#!tty coach too long so we have to be fair and give this s#!tty coach too long, as well."

This is a big part of why I didn't want an IU former player hired in the first place - they'd have a hard time justifying firing him despite how bad they were doing so they'd keep him too long. The other part was that none of the IU former players are good coaches.

This is like having hope a sick loved is going to get better. Then you get the call they have passed. I don’t want to believe this is true all my hopes of looking forward to watching IU basketball next year is dead. RIP IU basketball no returning to a blue blood anytime soon.
