I can't imagine why Stevens would ever consider coaching at IU. He is in the best of all possible basketball worlds right now. IU would be a huge step down in my opinion.

Let me answer for you 1.5 million vs 10 million. Sometimes you miss the thing that made you fall in love with the sport. Being a GM is boring but drawing up plays and coaching is exciting. Makes the blood flow.

I was watching Sleepers Media today on the IU/PU game review. One of the guys the MSU fan said he goes to IU message board to troll fans because it is fun. Maybe this is the guy

Yep. Prestige is not everything, and we also know Stevens is not a guy necessarily committed to following conventional wisdom. I mean he left a career at Eli Lilly to do college basketball. Maybe the guy wants to coach college basketball again. He's already reached the mountain top in the NBA. You're telling me you'll roughly 6x my salary, with a lower COL, to return to my home state? 

Anybody acting like it's entirely delusional is just refusing to acknowledge any validity to other ways of looking at the picture. I think the UNC AD joked about how everyone says your first call as an AD should be to Jay Wright or Brad Stevens... he wasn't wrong about that, that's why it's funny. The thing is, Indiana may be the one school that Brad Stevens actually entertains. We'll find out soon enough. 

Important to remember, as fans our wishes mean nothing in this process. Just have to hope Dolson is at work behind the scenes. Of course Stevens would be awesome... doesn't mean other hires wouldn't be able to win big here, we all see that. It's just fun to hope.

How does that differentiate from any schedule McNeese St has played in the last 15 years? Are you seriously trying to knock the job Wade has done at one of the worst jobs in the country?

He already turned down $10 million to begin with and voluntarily walked away from the sideline to become a GM. But yeah he wants to return at the collegiate level lol.

Let me just propose something here. Yes Stevens is a GM, and if he wanted to be a HC, what are even his possibilities that would be on level or better than IUBB? He doesn’t want the monotony of coaching a team like the Wizards. Being an NBA HC is less coaching more motivating.

 

If he wanted to get back into being a HC, I would love to see what landing spots are on our level or better.

And why is he at one of the worst jobs in the country? It’s a rhetorical question, but Sean Miller and Pitino are back at much bigger jobs.

It’s because he’s a despised slime bag who is considered one of the most corrupt coaches in the history of the game. There are other successful coaches at small schools that are not despised slime bags.

I didn't realize that's all he was making. 10 Million in Btown might as well be 50 compared to 1.5 in Boston lol.

Although personally I cannot imagine any person willingly living in Boston for any amount of money.
