Sounds like you're saying basketball in a piss poor state right now because Indianas resume doesn't deserve to even be mentioned right now. Seems like a brand carrying it's weight more than the resume.

I’m saying it’s the same as it always is for people that actually follow and project the field.   Bottom of the bubble is always a mess.  I can just separate my IU fandom and view it from an outsiders take on it.

I would say it's 14-5, 5-3 in the B1G that's carrying its weight right now. With a solid schedule that resume would be a no-brainer in; instead it's a close call.

IU has  2 true roads over other bubble teams.  That’s huge when you are comparing resumes.  Maryland has 0 true road wins.   IU has 3 wins away from home.   IU fans that want a change see a resume that should be better from what was expected.   Outsiders see a resume that has some good stuff on it and some not so good stuff which is why almost everyone as of today has them in the last 4 in or first 4 out.

-15 last night here...wish I was golfing somewhere warm. Days like today I miss AZ Winter...

Not sure where "here" is... but in my neck of Arizona, it's 15ºF (feels like 4º) with a projected high of 40º ...

should be a bit warmer down in the Phoenix area...

Just got back from Scottsdale. It's chilly. Was 42 degrees for my 8:30 tee time Saturday and not much warmer at night.

It's 42 in Phoenix. Should be 60ish this afternoon. So, yeah, a bit warmer here.

Not exactly a cold day in hell so Woodson should go.

Not being a smart @$$, but will the committee call the win at the palestra a true road win? Or will it be neutral?

Born and raised in Indiana, but spent some time as a low lander in the valley...Scottsdale to be exact. Still out West, just traded my noon tee times for a snow shovel.

Since Woodson is his godson, I think that’s what we all heard, I kind of understand that.  But the guy has way too much influence in the basketball program and he shouldn’t
He clearly is compromised and cannot be objective regarding Woodson. Yet here we are.

This was suppose to be his "best" team, yet, they are not currently ranked nor projected to make the dance. That's on the coaching staff.
Correct and yet I can already see the narrative changing to just making the tourney being a success. I read a guy who said but we are 14-5 and that's a good record.

Not really.   3 wins away from home is carrying its weight.   Lucky for this will work itself out.   IU will either win enough to get in or they won’t

Yes we have 3 wins away from home. All 3 against bad teams. And I get 2 are Q1 but they are only good on paper. As for Providence, they are our only Q2 game period right now and 14 spots from falling to Q3. I highly doubt the committee will care at all about that game.

Only good “on “paper?” Yes, the paper is the objective criteria considered, your subjective assessment doesn’t matter, but you know that.

Human eyeballs are important as well. And human eyeballs will let you know, Penn State and Ohio State are not good.
