I won't believe it until I see it either, but you have to ask if you're Dolson. Just sounds like with his kids older, the Celtics winning a championship and other factors his family might be more open to it this time. May will be a good consolation prize. thebigweave 1

Who else could have on their resume NBA Championship and CBB Championship? Larry Brown? Larry is the only guy and his return to college was at 72 after 30+ years in the NBA. I don’t doubt at all that Brad has mused to his circle some interest in returning to college coaching, and seriously considered us before we bumbled into woody- I just think that ship has sailed.

Maybe. Maybe he and Dolson are good friends and have just chatted the last year because that is what good friends do. But I've never known of them having a personal relationship with each other. Who else could have on their resume NBA Championship and CBB Championship? Larry Brown? Stevens had the perfect opportunity to return to coaching in 2022, when the Celtics suspended their head coach. They even briefly discussed this with him. He had no interest and said Mazzulla was the right guy for the job. Celtics governor Wyc Grousbeck admitted that he did have a ‘brief’ conversation with Stevens about potentially returning to the bench as the team’s head coach, which is understandable given both Stevens’ familiarity with the roster and his 354-282 record as an NBA head coach. But Stevens made it clear to ownership that this will be Mazzulla’s opportunity, and for the full season barring something unforeseen, as Stevens clearly has no plans on returning to coaching this year. “Absolutely not,” Stevens said of returning to coaching at any point this season. “There’s a lot of factors in play of why I wouldn’t necessarily even want to do that. thebigweave and cybergates 1 1

We will wait until BS is 70 then we hire him! IMO, he isn’t going backwards in life to coach CBB. That ship has sailed!

It’s such an absurd career arch I just don’t see it. Nobody is going from GM of a championship winning/caliber NBA team to recruiting 17 year olds and trying to convince your existing players to not transfer for an extra 100k voluntarily lol. Who knows though, maybe he misses it? Nothing Brad has done in his career has had a prior precedent. There's also a very recent even more outlandish move that happened in college sports and if you've listened there's good logic that could apply to Brad and coaching in college as well. You are going off the fact that he has stopped doing his weekly show and his demeanor on the court to tell you that he knows he is done. Wouldn't it be better for that to be announced now so the heat can be taken off of him
