Serious question for the holier than thou crowd. If beard is hired will you quit watching and supporting IU out of principle? I would think morally you would have too if what you say holds any water.

It would make it very hard, harder than you supporting this current team and coach. I know my wife would be out 100%.

I promise you that every one that is around the program knows that Beard wants the job. He has done everything possible to let IU know he is interested, other than holding up a hire me sign on the sideline

I’m in the camp of giving second chances. If not Stevens, I want Beard. It’s 1A and 1B and they’re pretty dang close. He can flat out coach and he is more Knight than any.

She snatched his glasses off of his head. He either in a drunken and/or anger rage retaliated by beating her to a pulp to the extent the police were called. There were clear and visible signs of a physical assault...so much that Beard was arrested and slapped with multiple felony charges. He was immediately suspended and then later fired. She recanted her story after the fact stating Beard acted in self-defense and the charges were ultimately dropped.

Outside of your life being in immediate danger, there is absolutely zero reason to EVER lay your hands on another women. Zero, none, zilch. I don't care that charges were dropped. His reaction was absolutely uncalled for and should never be justified.

Beating her to a pulp. Lol ..  it was wrong, it was a mistake, idk more of the details... beating her to a pulp didn't happen.

The way I see it the moral superiority crowd can have any opinion it wants. But if they are really as superior as they talk they would have to quit watching and supporting iu if beard is hired. They can't have it both ways

I'm checking out for a while. This place is not well today. DM's are open, I'll check them later.

The way people are acting is probably the reason Beard might not be a good idea. The next coach is supposed to bring us together not divide us further.

Really strange hill to die on defending Beard in the name of wins.

You defending Beard's actions says a lot more about you than it does me.

Yeah, embarrassing.

See your reading comprehension is so low you think that's what is happening lol

Yea, if we hire him it's a shitstorm of media mentioning the DV allegations and the university and fans being divided over it.  Just doesn't work for IU.

Nobody is defending him just calling out you guys who are trashing him even though he was never convicted of a crime. He certainly would not want you guys on his jury. Guilty as charged before trial. He would stand no chance regardless of evidence.

They would have tough choice I’m guessing. Everyone is different in what they view as acceptable or not.   If Wades ever hired I would have a tough choice as to whether to keep being invested in a program I have loved for 46 years or cut bait until someone else is hired.

Lol at thinking the charges were dropped because there was some evidence that exonerated him. Go research domestic violence statistics and look at how many cases go unprosecuted and for what reason.
